@MegaTen Well, I trust him at this point honestly. I have been expecting GTAV to go on Switch at some point, especially since I'm pretty sure Rockstar knows it'll sell like hotcakes. I expect it to come in 2018.

@Spoony_Tech Thanks. I went ahead and ordered them. I'm thinking I'll get one by the end of the year (I've been waiting for a deal/bundle that is actually a deal, but if none happens by or on Black Friday I'll probably go ahead and cave), so I'll just have them on hand. What else is there that is an absolute must have? I know I need an SD Card, but that's the only other thing I can think of (no, I don't think a Pro Controller is a must have for me). And what size should be the minimum to get (I'll always go physical if I have the option, but there are a lot of eShop games I want to get)? Best Buy has them on sale all the time, so I can keep a look out for them.

@Xyphon22 I didn't think a pro controller was a must till I played Splatoon 2. Now I only use it if I can so think about that. I also have small hands but the pro is just too perfect.

I've had a Switch since launch and still don't have an sd card but I'm hoping 128gb will be enough. However we are still very early in the life of the Switch and retail games look to be a problem on memory as well. For instance I want NBA 2k at some point and that alone retail will use up almost 20gigs. Then I want Resident Evil Revelations 2 and that's another 26gigs. See where I'm going with this. If you can find a 256gb under 100$ that might be a great option.

Last thing I can think of is a carry case for the system and games. Even if you think I'm not taking this out of the house it will happen. I first said I wasn't going to take it out but I do almost daily. Good luck finding the deal you want!

@Spoony_Tech I found a 256GB for under 60. You have to know where to look and how to buy.

@JaxonH I just remembered I never thanked you for those links the other day. Cheers The stand I ordered arrived and I'm fine with it, it does what I needed it to do,but it's not exactly portable. I had actually been eying that one you sent me but decided against it because of it not being high enough to use the charger. I don't really take the Switch out of the house and only really needed the stand for playing in TATE mode so I should be fine for now.

I would send it back. It should have been stated that it was an import when he bought it. Also, if it was dusty, it might be a refurbished unit.

My power adapter is black and has 2 prongs with Nintendo written on top of it. If that helps.

@zitpig I'd rather not reward the retailer for delivering a half arsed product. I know it's probably functional, but if I keep it, it means I agree with the way they handled my purchase. And I don't.

@BLP_Software Yes, however the retailer listed it as new(/factory sealed), it was listed as a standard European edition too.

@Tsurii Nope, got it from a Dutch retailer.

@zitpig Their customer service is usually pretty good, and you can return any item within 14 days.

@Spoony_Tech Let me just say this... whether it's ebay, amazon, or any other site you have to do your homework. I personally have been using these site to buy products lower than suggested retail for YEARS and I have not ONCE bought a bad product. All I can go off of. I have a brand new lexar 256GB sd card and I'm ready for whatever is thrown my way.

@BLP_Software They're claiming it's a UK import (why?). The rest looks unused, so I don't think they're lying. A new Switch adapter costs €35(!?), so I've asked/demanded one of those. If they decline, I'll order a new one from another retailer and I'll send this one back.

This is wrong info. The guy doesn't work for IGN. He's a freelance writer.

IGN's manager/founder Peer Schneider has stated that it is definitely more powerful than last generation consoles on Twitter. So IGN are fully trying to do damage control.

It's pretty simple, really.

Switch runs Zelda BotW at a higher resolution than Wii U, from 720p to 900p. Also runs Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at a higher resolution than Wii U, from 720p to 1080p. Games like FIFA 18 and NBA 2k look far better and do more than PS3/360. Skyrim looks far beyond the PS3/360 version (close to remastered edition on current gen).
