For the record I believe I agree with what both @KirbyTheVampire and @StuTwo said and disagree with both of them at the same time. Because the world is a grey and fuzzy place. You can't put things in tidy boxes. Like the Switch, is it a portable or home console? Kinda both but also neither. Boxes are boring, don't put things in boxes.
Unless it's the Wii U.... put your Wii U in a box. Move on.
I wasn't planning on getting an official headset or anything but that splatoon one looks really cool. Might actually get it since I don't have a headset like that. Although I'm not quite sure why it isn't wireless bluetooth. I think that it's maybe them wanting to make sure that the switch doesn't run out of battery in handheld mode or perhaps they're worried that it might disrupt the connection with the Joy-con? I'm just hoping voice chat and everything else will be a seamless experience. This is something Nintendo really has to get right considering they're gonna charge for online.
If you don't want to use splitters and have cables around the room, i would suggest my solution because you can also utilize it on a lot of devices, and not only for listening (i could use them for calling with my smartphone too for example). And i was also able to get all for a very cheap price considering what i was getting. Possibilities with the set i got are great and with this i will be able to voice chat and listening to Splatoon game sounds at the same time from D1! Funny thing is that, if voice chat app will allow it, i will be using it not only for Splatoon 2!
@Ralizah@JaxonH You know, I wrote a bit long reply to you guys, and it was a good one to add to the discussion points that the folks following along may have liked too, after I first promised to keep it short to not derail the thread further. And of course it ended up anything but short. And then I decided the thread got back on track and it wouldn't be fair to the thread to post it here, so I saved it, but ended up not posting it here. Sorry guys! It was an interesting OT conversation though!
In terms of Pokémon on the Switch, I had Menacing Moon and Sinister Sun in my head for some reason. No way the series is going down a dark route that it'll be using those names.
There's numerous possibilities for what the Switch game can be though.
So I just watched a slideshow on Gamexplain for FE Warriors. While the new characters still look painfully generic, the other new characters looks cool.
As for other possible fighters, Hyrule Warriors had 13 playable characters not including DLC, and Nintendo already said that they will have more than that for this game. Because they'll be focusing on SD Awakening and Fates, here's who I think they'll add
Awakening
Chrom, Lucina, and Robin (of corse)
But who else? A villain? Cordelia? Tiki? I could see them doing that.
Fates
Corrin, Ryoma, Xander, (saw their swords in the reveal trailer) probably Camilla (can't have a anime game without fanservice) Azura, or Takumi?
I didn't play Shadow Dragon so feel free to speculate who you want.
As for DLC.
Lyn, hector, and eliwood could get their own pack.
The villains of the game will probably get their own pack.
Alm and celica probably will get their own pack.
I could see a Radiant Dawn pack, if Ike isn't going to be playable in the main game.
Maybe a pack for those incest siblings. (Forget their names)
A alternative outfit costume pack. Allowing you to look like a different character, but be the same fighter.
What do you guys think? Just wanted to know. E3 will be here soon enough.
Not sure why Nintendo insists on doing everything so needlessly complicated. I'm not sure why people let them get away with that silliness. But in the end it's not a big deal for me personally. Not sure if even have people to chat with anyway
I think the new splatoon headset looks pretty cool. I'll wait until I hear more because I am looking at getting an iphone 7 (dropped my 6S last week.....fell face first on concrete steps and bounced off. sigh)

I'm a Dream Fighter. Perfume is Love, Perfume is Life.
I don't plan on using a headset anyway, so it's not really a big deal for me, but it is overly cumbersome for those who do want to use one. I think people who plan on using voice chat with a headset with the same people on a regular basis would be better off just using Skype or something.
Why is that Splatoon headset considered complicated? Isn't it just a standard wired headset you can plug your phone in to? Why is the internet throwing it's toys out of the pram? (honest question because I am obviously missing something!)
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
Everybody who would do this already has another way of communicating, via said media.
Therefore, one could assume it's simply more convenient to do it through said media, than use the system and its bandwidth and resources to talk to people when youre going to have something you can plug a headset into anyway either on your lap or at your desk a few feet away.
Plus, you'll have more friends on said social media.
People fail to realise that while more options are good, they by living their lives as everyone else already has options presented and they can do what works best for them.
Isn't that just a mysterious conclusion?
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
An actual on-topic question, lol.
Is anyone getting a static-like sound when playing World of Goo? Can't find a way to fix it, I'm hearing it on the TV and the system itself when in portable mode. I did email the devs about it, but I wanted to know if anyone else has this issue. (it only happens with this game, didn't notice it in Human Resource Machine or any of the other games)
...So no one else is having this issue?

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@MarcelRguez I'm talking about their entire online infrastructure. So far there isn't much reason to have confidence in it - friend codes, convoluted voice chat implementation, lack of dedicated servers for games like MK8D and Splatoon 2, etc.
The only major positive so far is that their account system situation is finally sorted out.
