Topic: Transfer child account

Hi all. Hoping someone can help. Got my son new switch for Christmas. Trying to transfer his save data but turns out it's saved under my ex's profile. He won't transfer him to my family group, is there any other way to transfer the saved data?

I believe that save files is saved to console itself or on the profile via cloud storage. If its saved to the cloud, you can just log onto your ex's profile on another Switch and access it that way.

@Lisa0211 I'm fairly certain you cannot transfer a game save data for an individual game from one switch user/nintendo account to another. Game save data is tied to the switch user/nintendo account/email address that was playing the game. Nintendo doesn't do a good job of warning people of that. Everyone in a family should use their own switch user/nintendo account if they ever think they may get consoles for individuals later on - unfortunately.

The only thing you could do is a transfer of all game save data for that particular switch user/nintendo account.
