@VoidofLight I see what you mean, it was at full price and the base game was pretty shallow. It's totally not the worst game on the Switch, I agree with you right there. But out of all the Nintendo-published games released for it, it's the weakest one that I've played.

@link3710 Yeah I did hear good things about the post-launch content, and as I've said earlier, the soundtrack is good stuff. It's just a shame that I kinda gave up on it early. I never played Sonic Forces, but I have definitely heard that it's not very good.

These are the game i regret i have spent money on them:

cities skyline because they fail to release all dlc so I lose interest quickly

tropico 6 because i discovered they changed the import economy from tropico 4 for something very bad I did not like it at all , I cannot run an empire only with import staff if I wanted.

BioShock 3 because is so boring the first and second one were much better in everything

hades: it was so fun at first, but after a while it became a huge more of the same and I fell bored

@Mr-Fuggles777 You know its strange, I put 60 hours into Fenyx Rising and loved it.
@Wargoose I so wanted to love AI: The Sominum files but it was bad, mostly the strange tonal shifts in the story. I turned it off when I got to the record studio, yeah, not long.
The worst game for me was probably Neon Chrome. What a total letdown of a twin stick shooter.

@Mordridakon Yeah that's what did it for me, the tonal shifts just suck all the drama out of AI the somnium files. It's a real shame because murder mystery mixed with inception is a great idea. It's a shame it's bogged down with so much innuendo and charmless characters.

@Mordridakon it probably didn't help that I played it after dropping a significant amount of time into Valhalla, but the ludicrous levels of motion Blur in Fenyx Rising made it unplayable for me.
Shame really as there was a decent game in there.
Hopefully the rumours are true and we get Ubisoft + added to gamepass, I will give it another go then for free

As far as the only game I straight-up regret purchasing for my Switch, it's gonna have to be Dark Souls. Sadly, I'm just not a Dark Souls person. I always thought it looked cool, and I LOVE medieval fantasy games of all genres, but most of the weapons and attacks just feel so clunky to me. I know not a popular opinion, but yea.

@Grumblevolcano PS Vita's physical games are fully physical as well.

There's a lot of controversial opinions in this thread! My worst Switch game is Watermelon Party, which I'm pretty sure nobody will disagree with me on. It's actually not terrible, it's kind of fun for a few rounds, but it feels more like a Mario Party minigame than a standalone release. There's no powerups, no different stages, no unlockables of any kind, and, worst of all, no option whatsoever to play in single player. I didn't pay any actual money for it, just about 80 gold points, and I still feel a bit ripped off.

Honestly I've picked up a quite a few clangers in the sales over the years. Bottom of the heap for me might be Toki Tori which I just found so damn ugly I could barely stand to look at it. I'm sure there probably is a good game in there somewhere but I don't think I played it for more than 10 minutes.

Other contenders: Quest of Dungeons, Aer, Subsurface Circular (10/10 NL?).

Honourable mention for Katamari Damacy which I really, really wanted to like but found so frustrating that I had to delete it before I hoyed my switch at a wall.

I forget the name of it now, but some Fate musou-like I picked up real early in the Switch's life, thinking it was an official musou crossover (it was not) along the lines of Hyrule Warriors. I didn't know a thing about Fate but a friend of mine was into one of the series and I thought there could be some fun, flashy over-the-top anime nonsense to be had.

The gameplay was a shallow and repetitive clone of Musou with all the enjoyable parts removed, and it was all interspersed with just the most awful, cliche, lazily-written anime story, dialogue and characters. Couldn't stand it, went back to the shop within the week.

Asides that one, Oceanhorn bored the pants off me. Props to the team for what they were going for, but I found it to be an incredibly dull time.

And one more... Violett. Again, love what the developers were going for with this one - an old-school-style point & click adventure, but 99% of the puzzles were almost entirely nonsensical pixel-hunts that were somehow still a struggle to get through even when I had a guide in front of me.

Super Neptunia RPG
To this day, I've yet to figure out what Idea Factory/Compile Heart was thinking when outsourcing their golden goose IP to some nobody studio. Anyways, to call this game an "absolute dumpster fire" would be understatement; the battle system and overworld gameplay are a mess as both departments are unacceptably clunky and boring (even for Neptunia's already-low standards), the RPG elements felt too bloated and convoluted, and the charm and identity that made the franchise standout are gone, effectively making Super Neptunia RPG the "Bubsy 3D" of the franchise. No doubt the worst RPG, game, and Neptunia game on Switch by far.

Duck Life Battle - The multiplayer aspect of this game is broken. Minigames ranged from just surpassing ok to completely abysmal. The matchmaking was broken. Leveling up was also broken. I know Duck Life has a bit of a fanbase, but this game just isn’t it.

Waku Waku Sweets - It’s a Cooking Mama visual novel, only the minigames are have the same engagement fancy PowerPoint presentations. The writing is completely fluff and repeats itself and its 25 hours long.

Moorhuhn: Knights and Castles - An Angry Birds clone with tower defence involved. Controls and menu navigation really sucks. There was meant to be a multiplayer feature in the game that claims to be releasing in “Spring 2018.” It’s still not there and its still advertising itself for this on its eShop page.

Construction Machines Simulator - A lot of these simulators (besides Giant’s Farming Simulator) can really go on the list. But this one in particular is bad because the gameplay is painfully slow and my save data a gltched to the point where my progress resets every time I turn off the game.

Mystery of the Hudson Case - A really bad first person point and click, where the story has no decent resolve. The game deals with the topic of race and slavery so poorly. Puzzles are uninteresting or frustrating and it also had another case where my save data was reset.

I loved Sonic Forces. I bought it for £20. Played it for 15 minutes and saw how little I would want to play it further. Then sold it for nearly £30. Winner!

Lego worlds, I got it cheap as a time waster and immediately regretted it, story mode is garbage and the quests and the in game money are both really confusing

Games I'm playing right now:
Tears of the Kingdom - Switch

Kingdom Hearts 2 - PS4
Ace Attorney Trilogy - Switch

I also got Lego worlds, thinking it was a cool sandbox experience. Felt nothing but indifference playing it, and then just never bothered to play it again. I haven't even really re-downloaded it from the eshop yet, and I honestly doubt I ever will.

I got LEGO Worlds early on. I've had a lot of fun with it. The campaign does have problems, no doubt, and ultimately the game does disappoint due to a few limitations that I would love to be overcome in a sequel, but I've played 30-40 hours with it and will happily go back to it whenever the urge hits me. But if you like dicking around in a LEGO sandbox, it's worth trying, especially if you can pick it up digitally for about £5 (I double-dipped at that price).

Not really a bad game, but a lot of the games Qubic gave away were very bland. GekiYaba, Wreckin' Ball Adventure, Akuto Showdown... Just nothing to write home about, but at least I got them for free. I still have some I haven't tried.
My paid regrets are Xeodrifter, Garou: Mark of the Wolves and Danmaku Unlimited 3. Again, not because they're bad or frustrating, they're just plain dull compared to other things I have in there. Mercenaries Saga Chronicles could also count, but I had quite a bit of fun with it before better games in the genre came out and I am actually replaying the first part now. The most FFTA like games other than this series is upcoming Triangle Strategy and that's still a bit away (and the demo annoyed me).

I'll upset a lot of people by saying this and get loads of flak but Zelda breath of the wild has by far been the worst game I've played on the switch

It's story is lacking and boring
The combat altho fun is ruined by the weapons breaking every few hits
The whole climb anywhere anything ( if your super fast depleting stamina lets you!)
The end boss was by far to easy and such s let down
