@DarthNocturnal very much like how real world depictions of aliens take inspiration from other things in our world.
The characters in game refer to "them" as ghosts, and it makes sense since "they" look like their world's ghosts, but if you think about it... They, two farm girls, don't really have much of a reference point for what an extraterrestrial alien is.
Outside of their design, their actions and role is a straight reference to pop culture aliens.
@jump What he says at the end about previews bring there to reel us in... yeh, and?
That's what we want in a preview, something to hype us. But I hope that writer is not trying to ignore the fact that the big gaming sites get early access to nearly all AAA games, and yet not all those games get the hype BotW is getting.
Yeah, he's talking about what most companies do. They send review copies early, for free, so the reviews can be given the time and attention they need in time for the embargo to lift. That's just how the industry works.
...So I was wrong about Horizon doing better than Zelda. Aight. Hry its good to be hopeful for a new IP. I now revise it to "Gets close very good first shot at it"
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
@Ralizah What an anti-problem. Unless you're only playing specific triple-A shooters, you're going to come across games that don't give you control options. As a gamer you just learn how to adapt to a button map. It's like, if you're in the hobby of gardening, you're probably going to come across bugs and insects, and it's just one of those things that come with the hobby.
On the other hand, it does feel like one of those things that could have so easily been been implemented, like the ability to choose the language of the subtitles. But anyway, take Breath for what it is, not what it isn't.
EDIT: I'm angry at Kotaku or anything, if I came across that way. It sounds like they thoroughly enjoyed it regardless.
@Nicolai Most console games don't give the player control options, as far as I know, which is just something I've had to get used to when slumming it with peasants and their consoles It's usually not a huge deal, and I don't recall ever playing a Zelda game and being preoccupied with the button mapping, so I'm guessing it'll be a non-issue.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
This morning i woke up and i got really angry. This morning Amazon finally shipped my limited BOTW, and it will arrive on March 6th. I have Amazon Prime...
It's hard knowing the fact that I could get the switch and zelda tonight (4 hours from now) but instead have to get enough rest for several university lectures tomorrow. Why did the switch have to come out the same time as when uni's first lectures start! Anyway, I've been trying to avoid spoilers by playing several 3DS games. Recently 100% completed Majora's Mask, Super Mario 3D World and A Link Between Worlds. I also finally started playing Ocarina of Time. I have to say tho, that I'm a little disappointed. Still haven't been wowed by the game, but I've only just finished the Dodongo Cavern so maybe that's why. It's honestly incredible comparing Breath of the Wild to Ocarina. In Ocarina you can see so many barriers and gates yet Breath of the Wild there are none. I hope playing the older games will give me a greater appreciation for the freedom available in the awesome new adventure (that I will sadly play tomorrow lol).
