@jump@Tsurii, Not sure how I feel about this... I just got done paying an extra $40 for the special edition, and I wasn't expecting to pay any more so soon.

Plus you got to get the Wolf Amiibo
I did, and I have yet to find out whether I have to also have TPHD data in order for it to even work.
Oh well, $20 bucks isn't a lot, and I hope it really feels like additional content, and gives me reason to play for a long time. Faith in Aonuma here.
Wolf Link amiibo has a default of 3 hearts for Wolf Link if you don't play TPHD, playing TPHD just increases that based on your performance in the cave of shadows.
Considering how bloody stupid 90% of the people online are...we're gonna see a ton of morons whine about hero mode being locked behind a paywall or nonsense like that.
In fairness it did appear for free in the last few Zelda games.

If their hero mode is simply doubling the amount of damage you receive, as it has been in other cases, it IS pretty absurd to be charging for it. That's like 1 line of code.
Honestly the comment section on the YouTube section is just stupid. People just jumping to conclusions about how this was cut content. We can't see until the dlc comes out. What's funny is that if the game were delayed to include this extra content, there would been a massive uproar. I'm excited tho, I like the idea of constantly updating games rather then waiting for the next instalment. This is espically the case for Nintendo consoles since we only usually get one entry per console. Anyway, all we can do right now is to just wait and see.

From what I understand, BotW already includes a Hard mode like WWHD and TPHD. I assume this Hard mode would be like a Master Quest kind of hard, or Dante Must Die or Lunatic mode level of hard.
We don't know how they'll split the expansion pass in terms of pricing. They could sell the first thing with the hard mode and that cave of ordeals/100 trials/whatever for a fiver and have the bulk of the DLC content be that new story and dungeon in pack 2.
They said you can't buy it separately so it's all or nothing.
@Grumblevolcano@jump, I hope Dezzy's right on this one, or I'll have bought the wolf link amiibo for nothing.
Well, we'll see if the main game was worth the $60 (spoilers: it will be), before we decide if the DLC should have been included. It's just something I probably would have been more excited for had this been announced post-release.
For me, the packs releasing in summer and holiday probably are DLC produced after the game went gold... But I have my doubts with the things that will be available on March 3rd. They couldn't include the tshirt inside the game as a joke item without needing DLC?
Another thing to consider is that maybe this is another way to make the first Switch months kind of more enjoyable on a software basis. By the way i think that the Hero Mode will not be just a "take more damage from enemies", i think it can be different even on other aspects like changing monster locations so that everyone can enjoy a different Hyrule from a challenge standpoint (more monsters, positioned to make it harder, they hit harder too, just to make some easy examples). Can't wait to learn more!
