Wow i haven't been on this thread for awhile and i can see you guys went full force about Link's gender. That's crazy cause that's an argument both sides can't win.

So... really love the art style.

And I know it gets shat on all the time, but I hope Zelda U has an extended intro like Twilight Princess. It really did a lot to set the mood and groundwork for the rest of the game. Even on replays, I had no trouble getting through it. I don't care that the first dungeon isn't until a couple hours into the game.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

I liked twilight princess' intro flow too. Honestly, with this insanely beautiful art style I'll be bummed if we weren't encouraged to just check out a whole lot of stuff. It's awesome.

Link cant be a female because only men are heroes... And Zelda cant be a prince, because only princesses need to be saved. Stop trying to change the world , sexism has worked for us for thousands of years.

I hope to god you're joking with that comment.

I wonder what Zelda U will focus on. Will it be a item like Ocarina of Time or a person like Twilight Princess?

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

I wouldn't say the ocarina or Midna were the focus of the games they were in.

Yaaahsss! Now you're speaking my language. I also like the realistic cel shaded look; it makes the game look like a beautiful 3D anime. Link's face looks almost watercolor with the animation and shading; I can't wait to see other character designs in this style.

I also like having a narrative section at the start of the game. Some sort of prologue to establish the village life and setting really grounds Link in the world.

And there are goats in Zelda U; think we'll be able to sumo wrestle goats again? Oooh, how that precipitated greatness!

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

*reappears from behind a bush* is the hot gender debate over? *whew*

I, for one, can't wait to see what they do with amiibo. I think having an entire line of Zelda's common enemies would be really cool. And we have yet to see anything really impressive with the game besides the open world. I wonder what they're going to do with the gamepad. There's no way they're just keeping it a map this time.

Twilight Princess' intro would have been 100x better had it not been for that atrocious fishing sequence. Tedium to the eleventh degree.

I remember getting stuck there, and I wanted to skip it really bad. That was probably my first motion-control game after Wii Sports, and I just remember being really confused. I wouldn't exactly say 100x better, but it would have been nice if I could have skipped it.

Personally if I never herd goats/sheep again in a Zelda game, it will be too soon. I am reluctant to start Twilight Princess over again just because of how annoying herding was.

I can dig fishing, however. Fishing is relaxing.

Agreed, TP's intro was a blast, and I bonded with Ordon through those moments. The fishing and goat herding were fun minigames and other elements had a very point & click adventurish feel.

Though if you ask me, Zelda is a series that is hard to replay. Once I know the story and locations and dungeons, the games aren't worth playing to me anymore.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

What killed replaying twilight princess over other zelda games for me was the horrible audio quality. I always hated the midi bleeps and bloops.

With those days well past, replaying is far nicer to me now.

This is the first time I hear people complain about the fishing part.. That's new to me.

I don't have an issue with the fishing part, that said it is nowhere near as good as Big's Story in Sonic Adventure!

I really want tense boss fights and boss fights that are very serious. Remember how in Ocarina of Time how cool it was to walk in on Ganon playing that music before you fought him? Ganon was talking crazy and I loved it. The same thing happened in Wind Waker. Ganon was talking crazy and a boss fight happened. I want more boss fights like that but just not with Ganon. I wanna see Link show some anger against a boss because that boss has been doing some pretty messed up stuff and only Link can stop it.

The part where you catch a single fish for the cat? That's what hurt a 50 hour JRPG for you? Huh.

Anyway I think TP's music is still great, even if it can only be viewed through the window of low sound quality. That's actually one of the reasons I would like to see it eventually remastered; to get higher quality sound files.
