COMING SOON: the result of our cooperation with QubicGames, our first game on the Nintendo Switch platform!

Tactical Mind is a strategy game, inspired by Chess, but with its own unique mechanics. On either a square or a hexagonal map, you spawn pawns next to Crystals to generate energy, then use that energy to outplay your opponent and destroy his main Crystal!

Play through the progression-based, 28 Singleplayer levels, or challenge your friends on one of the 14 Multiplayer levels!

Release dates:
Europe - 30.12.2017
USA - 22.12.2017

I'm facing a game breaking bug.

The tutorial explains that every time you use an action (move, attack, spawn) the cost of that action will go up. I'm on the second battle and the level up action cost changes randomly every round. On my first turn I will spawn 2 new units, by turn two my level up action costs 4 energy instead of 1.

Is the tutorial inaccurate, or is there a HUGE bug?

Edit: So it turns out that the tutorial does not explain the rules very well. With a game this simple, getting the rules right is very important :/

So I got this game cause it’s strategy based mechanics really intrigued me. Here are just a few things in case anyone is curious too.

  • You aren’t unable to use the button pad to move the cursor or select tiles in game.
  • There doesn’t seem to be any records of your games. However, it gives you some stats when a game is over.
  • No “Undo” button.
  • A weird thing is that there are no sound effects. There is an option to turn off sound, which is electronic type music. But even with sound on there is no sound effects for scrolling through menus, using commands, if you can’t perform a certain command, or when a turn begins or ends.
  • You can restart a game but can’t save a game in case you want to finish it later. Games don’t last that long though.

It’s an interesting concept, and these are just things that could have been better but it doesn’t necessarily effect the gameplay itself.

Yes the tutorial is lacking in detail. Whenever you or your opponent uses a command the cost for that demand will go up so let’s say you attack and spend one energy the cost goes up to 2. Your opponent then uses attack and the cost goes up to three so when it is your turn it costs three energy to attack. Also say if the cost to upgrade is 6 and you upgrade a pawn and bring the cost to 7 if the opponent does not upgrade on their turn the cost will drop back down to 6 upon your next turn. If the cost is 6 and neither you or your opponent use the command it will drop 1 per turn not taken so the 6 upon your next turn will be at 4. This is what I have observed. Also a level 5 pawn can only be destroyed by a level 3 or higher pawn.
