I mean, Bluetooth controllers are a thing. Most mobile games that would benefit from them, are compatible with them. (Assuming it doesn’t have “Dragon Quest“ in the name)

On the subject of ruining your tablet by gaming... I'd agree that on a smart phone playing games just eats the battery you could use for better things, like using mobile data or making an emergency call... But on tablets... Those are fair game for any role you wish to give them.

Having a tablet dedicated to gaming is very much a safe and valid use for them, and there's plenty of great traditional games to play on them.

@rockodoodle Terra Battle and Clash of the Clans are decent if you’ve got time to kill. Just don’t expect to play them continuously.

Yeah, this is what bugs me about mobile platform is that I would rather pay the $5-$20 upfront. Microtransactions work in my favor bc I play in bursts anyway. I have 85 hours in Fallout Shelter and haven't paid a dime. But it is still annoying.

This is a good post. The reality is that as far as processing goes, tablets and phones are making huge strides. Hell, the Switch is pretty much a specialized tablet.

Apple Arcade looks pretty cool. Some of their games probably play well with a controller. I am going to check it out as a change of pace and for exposure to new games.

As I have mentioned before in other posts, I think Nintendo should follow Apple and release some minor IP for their online business and then work with developers.
