Not sure if their are topics on this, I had to get rid of my switch due to money issues about 2 months back but now I have alot of extra cash and wanted to treat myself again
I had a Switch Lite at launch and within 3 days of playing southpark I experienced drift and got rid, has this issue been fixed or does drift still exist?
@Eel Same goes with Joy-Con for the regular Switch. Sometimes a pair will last over a year of regular use without issues and sometimes they'll be drifting within weeks.
Nintendo still hasn't fixed drift and they have. O intention of doing so. So imo you'd be better off buying a normal switch and then if it drifts just keep it hooked to the TV and use a pro controller whilst you send the switch joy cons in for repair
Or just fix the drift yourselves ffs. It's really not difficult, or expensive.
I cannot fathom why people are still going on about it. If it's within warranty, send it to Nintendo if you like, and if it's out of warranty, open it up, slip a piece of card under the joy-con stick housing... game on.
@Marcalous Regarding drift, as gcunit mentioned, back in july a cheap simple fix for joycon drift was discoverd - using a thin piece of cardboard. Although, that was three months ago, time will tell if the fix lasts, but so far, it appears to. I haven't seen anyone say the fix works for a Switch Lite. The fix is only for joycons (regular Switch).
If your unit is within warranty there not much anyone on NL can do but you have to contact the seller and NIN support for Warranty fix on this. Opening it would void and you would have expensive repair to pay for. But also one has to document these problem or fixes that didn't fix if anyone to know what is going on as well.
