starting next week or a day or two before Thanksgiving i just might buy Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars Remake or Mortal Kombat 12/1 for my Switch Lite.
gotta have a new game to keep me busy and entertained the rest of this year and next year
For me, this is my next game. I've never fully played Super Mario RPG properly and I know I'll like it from playing it a bit. It's a very light and funny RPG from what I know and remember.
I know there is a whole Geno fan base that's going to get this. I know it got mentioned, and I'm not at all surprised by the Geno keychain pre-order bonus over at Nintendo Store UK. It does look neat.
@XandertheWise Perspective is important. I'm more concerned with Geno not showing up on one of the screens, making the mandatory path toward Bowyer hard to determine properly.
About Smithy, Magic Head does need to be less dumb in general, especially when it's intended to randomly roll Shredder (it doesn't in the original because of miscalculation) and could end up doing that in the remaster. Tank Head, though, while also sketchy (unblockable by timing physical attacks including an instant death attack), is bound to have its attacks become blockable, instantly fixing it. Mask and Treasure Heads are mercifully fine.
As for Geno Whirl, we will see how that is handled. Just know that bosses are meant to be immune to the 9999 damage thing to prevent people from cheesing them, with Exor being an exception in the original because of erroneous instant death immunity flag disabling when his protection is removed, something that could be revamped in the remaster.
@MasterKnightDH well im saying that the remake needs to to make it easier to navigate the forest especially the maze walking around part where to find the tree stump area to go underground to get the mushrooms/flowers. i always had and still do have a hard time trying to figure the right way of going "left"/"right" in the frikkin game when Im in that one part in the forest.
and as for Smithy, the entire time he was tough. doesnt matter if he switched to the tank head or whatever, Smithy was just tough. period
So i hope Nintendo made the game easier even in easy mode to deal with Smithy and not struggle the whole time. Even the crystals minions were tougher than Culex for cripes sake
Seems like we finally know who exactly is making the Mario RPG remake and it is indeed Square Enix!....kind of.
The remake seems to be handled by ArtePiazza who, while not directly affiliated with Square Enix, are most well-known for making a bunch of Dragon Quest remakes (mainly DQ V, VI and VII alongside the 2D mode for DQXI) so yeah: pretty much the perfect fit I suppose XD
Currently MIA for exams; see you all in a bit! o7
Mario Maker 2 Maker ID: YT1-0Q2-YFF
Please ask for permission before using my FC! Currently Playing: Extreme-G (N64)
i should load up my old SNES game of Super Mario RPG Legend of the Stars or at least start a new game of Legend of the Seven Stars of the Super NES Mini Classic and breeze through the game a little bit before the remake arrives in stores next week.
Everyone is calling this a remaster and not a remake, and then they go to explain why they think this by describing EXACTLY what a remake is, as their reason...
...WTF? You call it a remaster, but describe it as a remake...but say that it's not a remake...lol
