If the music is being done by Yoko Shimomura, then it'll be amazing regardless. I usually can tell if it's being done by her, but...I'm not entirely sure this time. But she has done the Mario & Luigi games, so...maybe?
I bet people will be complaining because from the trailer it looks like pretty much a beat for beat remake with prettier graphics. They'll say it's not different enough or a lazy cash grab. Either way i hope there's an option for the original soundtrack. Something about those original Snes Midi's just tickles my nostalgia bone!
a couple of things im hoping to find out in the remake
-Smithy if theyll tone it down with the boss difficulty
-less hassle with the number count for the Super Jump/Ultra Jump to get a secret ultimate equipment or whatever
-make it easier to do Geno's super strong magic attack where in the original game you have to press a button at the exact right time to KO an enemy even the giant sword boss
-raise the level limit to level 99 instead of it being level 30something like in the original
I quite like the original - first played this game on the Wii U VC a few years ago, so no nostalgia here - but I didn't feel the visuals aged the best compared to some other RPGs from the time period it originally released. I quite like the new look, and I picked up on a couple of things that seem to suggest this isn't just a 1:1 remake with a fresh coat of paint.
Another Direct highlight for me and up there with Super Mario Wonder and the new DQM game.
one time i managed to beat the giant sword boss with Geno's one magic attack where you had to press a certain button at the right moment to instantly kill/KO the boss when i played it for my Super Nintendo a long time ago.
Not that this would be the worst deal even without new content but I'd prefer paying 10-20 less dollars than being given new content for the sake of having new content for the sake of justifying it being full price. shrugs
So, how does the turn based working in Super Mario RPG?
Does the Speed number determine who will be first who will be next
(FF X style / FF Tactics style)
or player turn first then enemy turn next?
(Mario + Rabbids style)
@Joeynator3000 maybe its for some sort of new special attacks? It seems to go up when attacking and successfully blocking. Whatever it is, its a good sign! Its means its not just going to be a new coat of paint, there'll be at least one new thing
