Topic: Super Mario Maker 2

This was announced just after a pre-ordered the standard physical. Darn. Oh well, I'm fine with standard. The steelbook and online don'r matter much to me anyway. I wonder if any of the pre-order bonuses will come to the US via Amazon.

I think I'll wait until they have the preorder bonuses here in the US. This is my most anticipated game this year and I'm a massive Mario fan, so I would love to have the extra goodies, especially the stylus. Plus having NSO for 12 more months without really paying for it is a nice touch, so why not?

@Qu0te I don't think you can pause your subscription, it's just gonna stay active until its deadline.

...This game will be digital too, right? I figured it would be shown on the eShop by now...

@Joeynator3000 Yes, it will be digital too. It has been on European eShop coming soon list ever since it was first announced.

Hi. I already have Nintendo online subscription. I just want to know if I get the limited edition super Mario Maker 2 with the online 12 months subscription can I redeem the code after my original subscription expires. How long is the code valid until redeemable.

@LuigisCube Assuming you have an individual membership already, you can extend it with the download code. Individual and family memberships don't combine with each other.

@MarioLover92 thank you for your reply. Mine is a family subscription so it’s better getting the standard game without the subscription.

Welp, this is it...kinda sucks about the NSO thing. Anyways, here's hoping a campaign maker is actually a thing. Aside from the first SMB game, it would be cool if we just got the original maps from those other games to add in our own levels. If this becomes a thing, then hopefully alternate exits is also a thing.

Welp looks like I'm getting that limited edition. The stylus and the NSO sub makes it a must have.

Theory: In Story Mode, it’s undo-dog who destroyed Peach’s Castle, not Bowser. In what appears to be the beginning, Toad says “See, this is why I’m a cat person..”

Ok so nevermind on the bundle, I'll just get the NSO when my best buy GCU runs out and then get vouchers for FE and Mario Maker 2. I would prefer both games digtal anyway. I'll have to cave and finally buy a stylus.

That space next to SM3DW looks suspiciously empty. New theme to be revealed at E3 or as free DLC for later in the year?

My money is on a Mario Galaxy theme.

@OorWullie That would be pretty cool, actually. They might make an SMB2 style as well, given that it's totally different from most Mario games.

@OorWullie I think a reveal of a theme at the end of the pre-E3 Super Mario Maker 2 invitational (June 8th).

@MarioLover92 Yep, that would be good too. I'm now thinking though it might be an Odyssey theme, as all the other styles are in order of release. Galaxy or SMB 2 wouldn't look right coming after 3D World. That could easily be changed though.

@Grumblevolcano Yep, good shout! So many possibilities, Galaxy could have anti-gravity, Sunshine could have the Fludd or Odyssey with Cappy

One thing i love of this game is the fact you can put hours in it building a stage or mastering a really difficult stage uploaded by someone, but if you dont have time to do that you simply can play a random level like a casual mobile game. The best of both worlds the deep and the casual.

I didn't think about that for SMB2 USA.

Anyways, had to leave right after the stream, but I saw it. Still no confirmation of multiple sub-levels, but I'm going to have so much fun with the..."Night Mode"? Whatever you wanna call it. Also hoping for the max length of a level to a bit bigger, would be nice.

I also just remembered something from SMW that I would love to come back, bubbles. Maybe shake a parachute to change them into bubbles? Maybe even combine it with a Boo/Big Boo to get those ghost bubbles that you see in one or two haunted house levels.

I doubt the campaign editor is happening at this point, oh wellz. Also guessing the clear pipes won't be able to do multiple paths either, maybe they'll be updated at some point...?

Never played Mario Maker before but it seems like Mario maker isn’t much without online features... so the question is : Would it be worth getting this one digital instead of physical? It seems like a game worth coming back often so the no switching cartbridge might be nice... plus the argument that if they stop hosting the game you’ll lose your game lose a lot of weight because when they stop hosting the game you’ll lose a big part of the game anyway since sharing and downloading level is the biggest part of it....

I usually go digital for third parties but physical with first party (resale value and collection) but this one seems that digital makes much more sense...

Any thought?
