Yeah it was like as soon as people saw the first trailer they were writing it off because of the view point. It was all about how it should have been this huge epic scale mario like galaxy. This game and especially NSMB U were heavily scoffed at for being too simple and just another mario platformer with nothing really new or innovative about them. I enjoyed the heck outta both anyway!

Lol my Wii U version sold on ebay in less than a day, for a fairly good price. Nintendo helped out by removing from the Wii U eshop. So I'm basically all-in on this version now.
@BlueOcean Yes, I nearly gave in with Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze with the new easy mode but without any new content I ultimately passed..
Same, the 3D All-Stars has roped me in due to the convience of all 3 games on a cart, time itself as I haven't played Sunshine for a while and the limited availability aspect. It won't lose any value and only gain it after March 31st which makes it a must buy... (Not that I plan to sell my copy..)
3D World I really enjoyed but only played last year again on Wii U. So while I'm glad it's getting a release on Switch for new players to enjoy I doubt it will be a day one purchase for me....
@Octane I agree. Why make loyal fans pay x2? I can see why mk8d is like this bc the changes they made. I am not sure this is enough to make me want to buy this again.
@BANJO Same here, I re-played it recently on Wii U and that's fine for me. The good thing about Nintendo games is that if you buy them physically, they're easy to sell if you want to in the future. They're not cheaper digitally, the biggest discount I've seen on the eShop is 33% and that seldom happens.
@BlueOcean as much as it bothers me with all the ports, I think most people with a WiiU either bought it or really didn't have much interest in it. I don't see much harm either way. If I had a Switch and WiiU, and had any interest in the game that I had not purchased, I think I would go with the Switch version anyway. That's what I did with Zelda. As cheesey as it is for Nintendo to even bother, I doubt anyone is that upset. Maybe someone who just bought a WiiU used? Even then u can find a disk.
@BlueOcean Yes I'm glad my Wii U Nintendo games are all physical for if I ever wanted to sell them down the line.. They try to tempt you to go digitally with double gold coins and occasional small discounts, that really doesn't work for me...
Apparently all the active Wii U owners who haven't got 3D World are outraged by its removal and are marching on the streets in protest, all three of them are out in full force!
@status-204 Not really. The original didn't have online co-op, and it clearly has new single-player content as well. That puts it up there with MK8D, Hyrule Warriors: DE and TMS#FE Encore by default.

Hilarious!!!! As cool as the WiiU is and as much as I loved it, I was so ready to move on. I think most were. March 2017 could not have come fast enough. I have seen a few laggards still prefer the WiiU for whatever reason.
If this is Nintendo's only holiday title (the same holiday title from a few years back) that's incredibly sad! I really hope they will still release botw2 this holiday, or something else that's new and cool.
