Amazon are telling me that Bomberman is not available for release day delivery............

@mav-i-am What date are they giving you? Is it 4th March, because that seems to be the norm any time I pre-order games from Amazon.

if you change delivery to Expedited then it changed to the 3rd.

Apparently Amazon may not receive the games before the release date.

@mav-i-am Oh I hope they do, I've got my Zelda game ordered through them as well as Bomberman! That's the only 2 games I'm getting at launch. Also it would say a lot about Nintendo if they can't get day one games to one of the biggest suppliers in the UK ready to send out for launch of a new system.

Just for reassurance, Amazon will often set a delivery estimate one day after a product's release. This is a way of covering themselves in the event there is a problem with the actual processing; either due to high volume, or another scenario. This rarely happens in my own experience and products are delivered either a day before or on the release date.

I keep trying to get myself hyped for this so I can have a goto game to break up Zelda sessions but I just can't, it's a shame as I do like Bomberman.

Ya, if you like Bomberman you'd think this would be a dream release. It is for me... I was just playing some Bomberman 94 today... can't wait for a new, modern, HD release that's portable also. Lots of single player stages and boss fights, voice acting...

^Oh hey, I was just gonna rant about that. I mean, I can't think of anything more vile than taking an iconic character and throwing out a genderbent spinoff just to cater to kawaii-obsessed fanbois who feel like their lives are empty if they go more than 5 seconds without a boner. They've effectively castrated Bomberman already, and now we get to see him very literally pimped in a pretty pink dress.

I'm gonna go play Bomberman '94 until I forget this exists...I already took out the monkey that controls a giant banana-bot. I guess I can pretend that was that was the idiot who propsed that crap...

The character designs seem simultaneously really well thought out, and yet made by throwing random ideas into a blender in 10 minutes.

The bombergirl stuff looks awesome. I'll probably be buying this at launch. If the "blow girls clothes off" mechanic is included it'll be even more tongue in cheek fun.

@erv : It won't be. Bombergirl is a separate arcade game exclusive to Japan. It may eventually see a console release at some point though.

Konami said through official GDC site that game is made with Unity

still £45 on Amazon, expecting a price drop before release tbh

It's not bad but it's still not packing a punch I would of liked. Honestly a VC releease would have been as good or better.
