@Eel you can not make Gustafa look conventionally attractive. Unless he is wearing a mask. Yeah money was in the trees. Hybrid trees especially. Days are like 20 minutes. I remember playing a day before and after classes to unwind.

Could be because my character had a messed up sleep schedule.

Edit: @Eel Ok I take it back they changed Gustafa up quite a bit. He looks like a normal hipster now.

Not sure how I feel about Nami's tousled hair. Like I know that isn't new but since I played the original GC version I'm used to her looking different. Especially since she used to be in uniform. She's still cute though. But I am a sucker for Redheads.

From the screen shots Japanese version, looks like the game used the same names from old version for the seasons.

Parrot = Spring
Pepper = Summer
Amber = Fall
Indigo = Winter

And looks like each season will have same 10 days again.
I wonder if the remake version will keep the Chapter 7 Heaven from PS2 version as you can continue the game indefinitely after the staff roll.

I think I need to keep this game on my radar. I love what I see.

The wait for this is gonna be painful. This was one of my top “it will never happen but I need it” remakes. I might go restart Olive Town.

@Eel so when they remake it again in 20 years Tartan is gonna be a kaiju. I can see him hopping around screaming “Fruuuuuuit Fruuuuit” and then singing his little song as he crushes a house.

Then out of its 9th head comes out yggdrasil and the universe starts anew.

In PS2 version, you can get easy money by hybrid Turnip + Strawberry with Tartan to make hybrid crop Dhibe, make it Dhibe Cake (Dhibe + Egg + Milk), then sell it to street vendor Van (Haggle first to get 2010 G for each Dhibe Cake).

I just realized I don’t know how to earn money like a normal person because I abused the ruby’s spice glitch to death. I’m gonna die broke.

Seems like we can now raise crops closer to how it works in FoMT, as opposed to painstakingly caring for each plant individually like they’re precious little treasures. So perhaps selling crops will be viable.

Or at least I hope the upgrades there go beyond letting us plant 9 squares at once.

I wonder if there will be selling price changes on remake version as I remembered the difference from Gamecube to PS2 version.
If the season only have 10 days like original version, the only way to make every crops can grow on any seasons by combining the crops with Happy Lamp flower by Tartan.
One thing I remembered from mutant crops (3rd hybrid) there was a crop looked like eggplant that will watered the other squares nearby when you watering that mutant plant with default watering can.
Also, I wonder if the soil quality will stay same from original version as the first field next to your house was poor soil, for normal crops. The second field next to chicken coop was for the hybrid crops. The biggest field was for mutant crops.
I have to jog my memory again with this game.

I do hope that trees are still the way to go. Always felt like a good payoff for the work of getting the hybrids that sold the best.

First look of the gameplay.

I know this doesn’t matter to a lot of folks but I just found out the character creator allows for different skin tones. As a Black Woman it means one less game that I am shut out of, and one more game that while I may not be able to make a character that looks exactly like me I can make one that better reflects the world I live in. I know these games are made by Japanese people but they were never explicitly set in Japan so it’s always been odd that they’d excluded other peoples for so long. I acknowledge that the newer games have improved this but to have my favorite bokumono do this is fantastic. I’m counting down the days!
