So I'm an absolute newbie at Gaming, and someone has bought me a Nintendo Switch to keep me active. I am coming from being completely deconditioned in hospital. All I want to know is are there any games that require you to play standing? I know there are some heavy duty exercise games but I'm nowhere near that point!
Maybe something like bowling?
Hope someone can help

@Nige1 Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Golf: Super Rush with motion controls are both great games to keep you standing that don’t necessarily require a ton of physical movement. Both of them pretty much boil down to pressing buttons and moving your arms.

Pretty much you can play any Switch games with separated Joy Cons + docked mode to mimic Wii style playing.

I only play kids games with a few rated Teen games that suitable for me.

@Nige1 It's not REQUIRED (there are stick and button alternatives), but ARMS works best for people who learn to play it standing up and using the motion controls for punching and moving. The game works best when players learn to make small, controlled movements with their arms.

If that sounds too taxing, then you're probably best sticking with something like Nintendo Switch Sports.

Ugh. Men.

Thanks for those tips, I'll give them a try and post how I get on

I'm surprised no one mentioned Ring Fit. I didn't think of it either, when I saw this thread yesterday. Maybe the suggestions above are more inline with what you're were looking for. Ring Fit probably skews more toward workout, rather than "game standing up".

Also, @Nige1, it's almost like nintendolife staff saw your thread post, and decided to update their aritcle, Best Switch Fitness & Exercise Games.

Oddly enough I decided to try a Ring Fit today. By under performing the initial strength set up exercises, ensuring it's on beginner's and all the light settings there are, I think it's going to be very useful.
It even has some sitting exercises/games.
I'll look at the Nintendo article update too.
Thanks for your tip too
