Topic: Splatoon 3

That was a great little Salmon Run session. So much fun when you find a good team of randoms who stick together for a while.

@BenAV WOW. I'm so impressed and amazed. I have no idea how anyone gets to Eggsecutive VP. That means you got an Eggsecutive Salmon Run badge, I think. Nice!

I'm at Profreshional 1-2, and I can't finish three waves consistently enough to get higher. Man, I wish we could share salmon run replays like we can online battles so I could see what Eggsecutive runs look like.

I had that splatling gun, and couldn't keep ink on the ground enough to move. So, I struggled to support players, struggled to revive players, and stay alive. Neglected drizzler rain, tenta missiles, and enemy hordes make that impossible. I can't manage the drizzlers and flyfish/tenta missles alone.

If I have a gun that can lay ink down fast, I usually try to look out for whoever has slow-inking guns as I work.

@WoomyNNYes When Splatoon 2 came out I played every new Salmon Run rotation with a friend for months. Been ages since I played but it all came back to me pretty quickly after starting Splatoon 3.

The Heavy and Hydra Splatlings can be pretty brutal. Very hard to get away when you're being swarmed by enemies. Also very strong though if you can find a relatively safe spot high up where you can just kill as many bosses as possible and let the more mobile players collect the eggs. Same goes with chargers.

Anyone here know how to get the card sleeves from Tableturf? I'm trying to get the ones obtained via Splatnet from Crusty Sean but whenever I talk to the one manning it, it only gives me the option to face other people. I know for a fact that that menu is there since I saw it the first time I played TBT but I haven't got a clue where to find it now.

EDIT: Nevermind the first point (you just get them from the lobby terminal), but I'm still quite confused on that last bit.

@Snatcher Apologies for the overused meme format but it was the first thing that came to mind when reading your post.

It's such a surreal feeling though, isn't it? Seeing these people who's work you adore just casually chilling in the lobby/hub area of Splatoon. It's a magical feeling just looking around at all the cool posts that people have made and suddenly coming across someone who you immediately recognise. I hope I can have that feeling crop up many times over the course of this game's life cycle honestly because man it's always so damn exciting

I agree, it feels amazing! Actually, I saw it in the lobby, and I knew it look like amphibia, and I saw there twitter account, and I was like no way, it made so much sense then!

I too hope this happens more throughout the games life cycle, and I think it’s cool we both played with someone we liked!

I've been blaring Calamari Inkantation 3Mix for the past few days now because Squesus Christ is it fantastic and, in the time I've listened to it, I've come to something of a realisation: I can tell exactly who's singing which part.

In short: I've fallen far too deep into this series to go back and Shiver is best girl.

I wish I could play Splatoon but I suck at online shooters and I don't want to buy the game just for the single player.

I wish you could splat your teammates. Some people are so annoying they always want to follow and ink were I am when there is loads of un inked surface

@Dev9417 I've been confused about that as well: what do they actually do? The description given during the Splatfest didn't exactly give me much to go off of.

This is the first time I’m even hearing of these things.

@Fizza Not sure how I missed a lot of posts earlier. I am really liking Calamari Inkantation 3Mix too! I really like the sort of overlapping part that Shiver and Frye have starting at around 2:25. It is cool how it is different to the Squid Sisters.

I chose gear with the correct gear you can hunt food and create entertainment

I've plegded my allegiances to Team Grub this time round. Time to go hunting for conch shells!

@Fizza I also chose Grub. Gear is too risky, I have seen The Island with Bear Grylls, and they always have difficulty finding enough food

I'm still getting people disconneting with me, I was hoping the update would sort that out.
