@Croctopus Am I correct in thinking that the weapons pallets in Side Order are unlocked randomly? So, different people unlock weapon pallets in a different order.

I DIED AT THE LAST PHASE OF THE FINAL BOSS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I WAS SO CLOSE 😭😭😭

@Fizza AHHH, another life could have maybe solved that!<3.😁 It is nice getting those buffs. I started with three lives, and ended up buying two from a vending machine somewhere around floor 25. Then I JUST eeked out success with the final boss. Good luck!<3 (man it's fun!)

It's really amusing how many times I beat a level right when it looked like I was going to die on the next few frames.🤣 I saved clips of those.

@WoomyNNYes I went into the fight with 2 Lives in stock and instantly bought a 3rd the moment I got out of there XD

Definitely agree with you on it being extremely fun; I may have lost but man I IMMEDIATELY wanted to claw my way back afterwards, it's so good XD

I did manage to get a fair amount of PRLZ/Keys out of it though; already picked up Frye and Big Man's Palette's (did not take the latter as a Slosher main honestly XD) and have bought a ton of different hacks as well. I was definitely underprepared for that first encounter but I sure as hell won't be for the next 😎

For anyone else that's beaten Side Order and @Croctopus:
Oh there was still rewards to claim after beating side order!! Disregard if you found this already. I almost missed these: In the Order Sector, if you open your menu with X, then open Collections, the chips menu, and Marina's Diary, and the Field Guide, it will give you two pairs of banner titles, "Side Orderly" and "Memverse". AND, if you are in marina's diary, press ZR or ZL to make the text disappear to view the pictures and then you'll receive them as stickers for your locker.

@Smth2024 This sums up my porblem with this DLC, we wait pretty much a year and then Nintendo gives a good DLC but doesn't add much of what everyone wanted...

The swarming enemies make Marie’s palette so dang hard even though I love chargers, but I grinded through, playing very carefully, upgrading pearl a lot to protect me, and swapping my special for Ultra Stamp to give myself a panic button. Oh the pain I felt losing at 30F. This is definitely the first run I’m considering saving up to retry, because getting that far was insanely hard with a charger.

OK, @BenAV,🤣 so how do you fight the rotating floor boss with the charger? I can't shoot the weak spots on the faster+higher floors with the charger. What's the secret? Or, how'd you do it? ....help me OB-BenAV Kenobi, you're my only hope! (I'm quite curious).

After coming so close earlier on today with Shiver's Palette, I finally beat my first run of Side Order on around about my 20th try with Pearl's Palette and GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I F***ING LOVE SPLATOON YOU GUYS GODDDDDDDDDDDDDD DWIUHFBJEWOIFUVHWOFUGYWUFHEIGFWIBOHDKVWGEUFVUWIHOJDGOQVUWFYGIOHVCFUIHWJKGHFUIYGUWQGVFUYOQGWUFOVOYWIGUFVUGHKOFIKJOFVHWKJLFUHFIUGIHDKUWYFV

There's way too much to talk about dude like holy s***. The climax was absolutely amazing from start-to-finish; seeing everything fade to white before reviving everything with the power of FUNKY VIBES felt like something straight out of Undertale and I oughhhhhhhhhhhh I love it I love it I LOVE IT. Then taking down Overlorder by equipping yourself with EVERY SINGLE COLOUR CHIP to become an unstoppable god of destruction felt so cathartic after just barely scraping by both the latter floors and Overlorder's first phase. And the fact that the big bad behind all of this....is a tiny little octopus who talks solely in uwu speak? 10/10, that s*** is one of the funniest things I think I've ever seen. AND THE FACT THAT YOU GET TO GO TO INKOPOLIS SQUARE AS A COMPLETION REWARD GODDDDDDDDDDWBFHOJWEBVFGIEBWJFBVWEBOHFUBIEYG THE NOSTALGIA HIT ME SO HARD MAN.

Despite having officially 'beaten' Side Order, I know for a fact I'm nowhere close to being fully done yet but god I'm so happy that SO ended up being as good as it is after waiting what felt like an eternity. I still prefer Octo Expansion over it for entirely personal reasons (though in fairness it's basically like comparing a 10/10 to a 9.5/10) but in terms of the core gameplay? Yeah this might just be the pinnacle of the series, I can see myself returning to this for YEARS on end

@WoomyNNYes Don't recall if I fought that with the charger or not but what about it makes it hard to hit? I don't think I ever really had issues getting the weak points with any weapons but worst comes to worse you can still chip away at its health by shooting it wherever I guess. Just prioritise not dying and it'll go down eventually one way or another.

I had a lot more trouble trying to hit the Parallel Canon. Reminds me why I don't use Charger in multiplayer, haha.

@BenAV Oops, it's called the Asynchronous Rondo. The last time I fought it was with the charger, I was getting overwhelmed by lesser enemies and it seemed to just keep spinning and spinning, but when I watch that boss fight on youtube, the spinning is always temporary. So, I misunderstood how it works, and haven't gotten that boss again so I can learn it better.

@WoomyNNYes Yeah when it starts doing the fast spin, that's your cue to run away to safety for a bit.

I just completed my first run and that final boss was something else! I think SO is on par with OE and personally, although there were only a few in SO the bosses were a lot better.And the music! Every single track was a banger!

I thought Enperry Splat Dualies were supposed to be nerfed with the recent patch like with more points needed for the special? It feels even more broken than before, I even managed to get back to S rank. Not complaining though.

Does anyone have any input regarding using the "chips bias" buff from Marina in Side Order? Are there some weapons its UNhelpful for?🤔 I've been using it, and it was really working. It's nice to stack certain types of chips, but I also rarely got other types of buffs.

Does anyone recommend any particular buff from Marina?
I already have damage reduction from enemies, and increased weapon ink damage, armor respawn quicker, two extra lives, and I'm forgetting a couple others, maybe.

@WoomyNNYes I've actually mostly been playing with Colour-Chip Bias off. You'll probably get more consistent runs while using it but I kinda like keeping my options open to build something a bit different more easily if I choose to.

I found that the vending machines became super useful once I pumped enough upgrades into the discount/reset hacks to make it affordable enough. Floor resets too. You can get some pretty busted runs going pretty easily with a bit more control over your chip options.
