I just watched the getting out of S Rank video in preparations for the Rank Reset coming up, definitely appreciate you sharing that @bingleybongley

I have a question. I was thinking of trying out Anarchy Battles sometime. I know in Splatoon 2, your rank meter might crack if you lose Ranked Battles... does that happen here in this game? If so, are there any consequences besides your rank dropping?

@mariolover92 In Splatoon 3, Ranked Battles are now called Anarchy Battles, but in general they work the same way. You have one overarching rank, beginning with C- but you can level up by winning battles. After reaching C+ you will have what’s called a Rank Up Battle, where you must either win 3 times to promote to B- or lose 3 times retain you rank of C+

@MarioLover92 Anarchy battles open have much less influence than series on your rank, so if you ever just want to play, pick open.

I am new and I was just wondering what sort of things do people discuss here, is it just anything to to with s3 or is there some things considered as ‘off topic’?

Finally got the Nineties Nylon Jacket yesterday, catalog level 90. That was the main thing I wanted to complete. Booyah!

That 20% XP boost for the end of the season has been helpful. I dare say the first Win of the day bonus during this 20% xp boost multiplier appears to fill almost a whole catalog level.

@_Lime I've been getting into the Forge Splattershot Pro lately. It's quite powerful for a shooter and its range is really good.

@_Lime No matter how weak it is, I will never abandon the tenta brella.

I guess I mainly use slayer weapons, but I still have fun with splattershot JR + spaltbombs, or sloshers, rollers, blasters. I don't have the patience for splatlings, and I haven't been great with chargers. I like roaming around more, I guess. Although, part of the fun of Spaltoon is learning the different weapon types. I could still see myself learning a charger. So, I still have at least one weapon type that I haven't messed with much.

I really miss some kits from splatoon 2, like .52 gal with curling bomb, or sploosh-o-matic + curling bomb.

Lately, I've had great fun adding 1-2 mains of Sub Power Up to increase throw distance for suction bombs and splat bombs.

EDIT: I'd like to see a limited time mega buff (or challenge) for throw distance. I think it would be hilarious to throw bombs wayyyy across the map.🤣 Or, maybe that's a terrible idea.

Blaster is my forever main, though I also use Dualie Squelchers and Tri-Slosher Nouveau as secondaries. I like weapons/playstyles that allow me to get in close, pick off a bunch of enemies in one fell swoop and/or help my teammates out in lots of different ways (tldr; I like aggro and support) and these three (Blaster especially) tick almost every box for me in these regards.

I'm praying Custom Blaster (whenever it eventually comes out) gets a really fun kit because the only thing holding back the OG Blaster from top-tier viability (in my humble opinion) is it's less than stellar kit for the current meta we're in. I'm personally hoping for something along the lines of Point Sensor + Inkjet (a hybrid of it's previous two kits from 1 and 2) or Ink Mine + Crab Tank (it sounds very goofy but also very fun) but I'll probably make whatever they give it work (so long as it doesn't get the S-Blast treatment and get something like Sprinkler + Reefslider XD).

@_Lime I play a lot of weapons, but I really like Range Blaster, Big Swig Roller Express, Z+F Splatterscope, among others.

I’ve been using the Tentatek in Anarchy a lot lately. For more casual matches I like the Reeflux and I’m still learning how to use the Wiper Deco. Aerospray MG was my main for a while when I first started playing but I eventually got bored of it, same happened for the RG

Achieved catalog level 98. Sitting good to finish the catalog.

I really regret not getting the Seafoam camoflage gear from a previous season catalog. I really want that seafoam cap. When I see people wearing it in Splatsville, it wont' let me buy it. Booo.

The new patch is great if you ask me; buffs to the weaker stuff (Brellas, Zipcaster, Tenacity), nerfs to the stronger stuff (Tacticooler, Last Ditch Effort) and a ton of little things that are going to make the general experience much more enjoyable (namely separate rotations for Open and Pro Splatfest battles). I could whinge about how it doesn't really affect the weapons I play, but that's just me being nitpicky for the sake of being nitpicky to be honest. Can't wait to tinker around with all the crazy new stuff coming out on Friday! (Dread Wringer/Sorella Brella my beloved)

@WoomyNNYes I'm still on Level 80 myself. Bit unsure as to whether or not I'll actually get it completed now given how there's only two days left but I was doing some calculations and I think all I have to do is win roughly 80 ranked matches in order to get the 20 remaining levels. Can't be that hard right?

I wonder if given we get 2 new stages with Drizzle Season 2023 (the previous seasons were 1 new + 1 old), we'll get a Splatoon 2 focus with the content which comes with the season that has Side Order. So like for example:

• 2 maps that were playable in Splatoon 2
• Returning Splatoon 2 Salmon Run map
• The return of Squid Beatz

I also wonder if Splatoon 1 presence will have a MK8 effect given there's only 3 unused Splatoon 1 stages left (Urchin Underpass, Saltspray Rig, Bluefin Depot). For context, it used to be that Mario Kart never repeated retro tracks but then the MK8 DLC on Wii U came along and had some repeats:

• SNES Rainbow Road (MK7 retro track)
• GCN Baby Park (MKDS retro track)
• GCN Yoshi Circuit (MKDS retro track)

This applied to Splatoon would mean stuff like Moray Towers returning to Splatoon 3. With the Mario Kart example, MK8 is kind of approaching MK Ultimate territory thanks to the Booster Course Pass but I doubt Nintendo expected in 2014 for MK8 to still be supported with more content nearly a decade later.

@WoomyNNYes At least you'll get a 2nd chance with Fresh Season 2024 if the Drizzle Season 2023 catalog is anything to go by.
