Topic: Splatoon 2

The main thing I want is option to play with the computer in the multiplayer modes, online only isn't great when I want to play it on the tube.

@Blur_Escalation I thought for a second too that the dark character on top is Callie, but...i don't know, seems INKredible as a possibility but still. Looking forward to this!

The single player mode also looked AMAZING. ...is it July yet? I can't wait for this game!! XD

Looking again at the character it seems Callie for real! OMG!

If Callie is evil, then that will give me the opportunity to destroy her once and for all.

But yeah, that trailer was a solid one. The single player looks very similar to the one in Splatoon (not like its a bad thing), but we'll see. I also liked the part where the music slowed down after Marie acknowledged that the squid/kid didn't know who she was. That was hilarious...
EDIT: Has anyone not noticed the new logo yet?

I'm thinking it'll be a corruption situation not too different from Cia in Hyrule Warriors. Whether Callie is saved afterwards though I'm not sure.

As for that logo shown at the end of the trailer, I wonder if it's just promotional design for the single player mode...? The bundle shown at the end of the UK Direct still sports the original Splatoon 2 logo.

So the single player looks more to be like a training / intro to the online, like the first game.

Hmm, I'm on the fence with this one now, despite how much I liked the original.

It's like $25 a year though and that gives you temporary complimentary old games!

Wow i really love how they're doing the story part on this one. I can't wait to see what happened in the actual game!!

With the story being the way it is, I'm just wondering how announcements for stages and etc will be handled. Especially in the case for splatfest. I wonder if there's some sort or replacement duo or something.

I was thinking about story and i got hit by a particular question. I hope Nintendo will address it at E3 since i think it can be the only place to do it before launch: how are they going to handle Splatfests if Callie really turned to ally with Octarians (even if under DJ Octavio's influence)??

I like Marie's shift from bouncy wise-cracking pop idol to solemn kimono-clad sage. And as for Carrie, well, WHAT ABOUT CARRIE!?

Also, what of the hole left in the Squid Sisters absence? What will happen to the intros? The Splatfests? The music? It won't be too long until we find out...

@Maxz Let's hope they've removed the unskippable news feed for every map rotation!

@chardir Yeah, I mean, they had their charm, but having to bash A repeatedly every time you wanted a quick game was a chore. I suppose the Switch's sleep mode with speed things up a bit, one way or another.

@Maxz My pet peeve is that you can fire up the game at 1 minute to rotation time and have to sit through the news twice.
