@GoldenGamer88 Oh right, hadn't thought of those differences. It's probably just the Inkbrush. It's strange because I can't remember having these problems against Inkbrushes in Splatoon 1.
Still, thanks for the advice, I'll try that.
@Spoony_Tech I really hope you're right. I'm tired of waiting longer in the lobby and a match (or in some cases even multiple matches) would take.
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
@Spoony_Tech Sure hope they'll do that (or better, give the option between EU/US-only or shared matches) soon. While I haven't been bothered by long queue times myself yet, it'd certainly be welcome addition.
Don't know why they can't do it like Overwatch where you can explore maps and fight other players and learn their play style while being in queue.

I hope merging regions won't include lag.
Now I'm really glad I bought Switch Splatoon bundle because it's digital so I'm always up for a match or two in between playing other games on catriges. Playing it more now then when I got my Switch. This becoming better and better more you play it
@CroRock Well some people complained about lag in Splatoon 1 (which had global matchmaking and you never have to wait), but I never noticed it - unless I explicitly paid attention to it. But who voluntarily pays more attention to lag than to the match itself?
I wouldn't mind a small, barely noticeable lag in favour of global matchmaking.
Splatoon 1 had terrible lag early on. If they do Global Matchmaking, you can expect more lag considering that Splat 2's tick rate is awful and you'll commonly play with people across the world in Japan and such.
Preferably they should improve Splat 2's online before going after Global Matchmaking.
Since everything is peer to peer, I imagine the online quality would be based more on an individuals connection and distance to enemies. But maybe they can account for this somehow
Oh great, first furries invaded Spla2n, now the LGBT community has. And then came the counter-movements. And then the counter-counter-movements started. I have nothing against the LGBT community, but just play the game instead of causing drama.
I want a new ranked mode right now! I'm bored, I don't see much point in playing Splatoon 2 any longer. I became S+ in every mode. My weapon currently has 20,5 SUPERFRESH points in Turf War. I'm afraid I'll just lose those points when I go play Turf War again xD
I bought every single weapon from Sheldon and tried them out, acquired perfect gear for every weapon type, unlocked hero weapons in single player, collected so many food tickets during Salmon Run I don't know what to do with them.
@Nintendoer@Dev I wouldn't mind if it was topical (like the nice little posts that popped up for a few days in tribute to the victims of the recent terror attacks in Barcelona) ..it's the sustained and prolonged flooding of non-Splatoon/Nintendo related posts that I don't particularly like
See, when I started seeing all of these pro-LGBTQ+ posts, for example, I initially assumed that perhaps Nintendo had done something anti-LGBTQ+ (eg. banning LGBTQ+ posters) prompting an act of solidarity ..I'd have understood that - maybe would've even joined in myself - but, as far as I'm aware, that isn't the case.
I don't mind seeing the occasional pro-LGBTQ+ post here-and-there - not at all - it's just, at the moment, the game is totally over-saturated with them - and for no particular reason...I'm all for diversity - but let's diversify the drawings a little bit, huh?
The drawings in Splatoon 2 really show how people always jump on the bandwagon for everything, lol. As soon as one person draws a pro LGBT thing, everyone else suddenly has to as well, and for no discernible reason. (This has also happened with several other topics, though. The LGBT thing is just the newest one)
@KirbyTheVampire At least Miiverse somehow had the ability to keep things vaguely on topic. Now that Splatoon is linked up with Twitter, it seems... just like Twitter. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss the SpongeBob memes from the original. At least they were vaguely aquatic.
Anyway, I won't go on about this too much. I accidentally went on a massive tangent last time and poor @Dev was on the receiving end of it. All I really meant was 'the worst way of making the posts stop is by making counter-posts telling people to stop'.
Anyway, if ever there was a reason to #SaveMiiverse it's the current version of Inkopolis Square.
So I'm going about my business in ranked mode, and when I get back to the square everyone is suddenly drawing random shapes and saying "this symbol means everything to me" for goodness knows what reason. I'm still more amused than annoyed by this nonsense, but I certainly understand the complaint. I think it would actually help if you could click through to Twitter and reply to someone, since that would be an alternative to counter-posting and bandwagoning. I don't see Nintendo going for that, though.
I've never been interested in this bandwaggoning nonsense, though man is a species longing for community and together-ness once survival and security are secured. People jump on many trends they see because they don't wanna be left out so they post whatever it is that is posted right now, probably without thinking about the motivation behind it. And where do these trends come from? Who knows!
Some might demand, Nintendo should be moderating the trends of these posts into an at least gaming-related direction. But sooner or later, this would explode into a PR nightmare: 'Nintendo is limiting free speech, Nintendo is racist' and so on. Honestly, I'm not that bothered by it that it'd affect my enjoyment (or the lack thereof) of the game. I'm slightly amused about whatever cringey thing they write about if I'm completely honest.
@GoldenGamer88 bandwaggoning is fun sometimes and annoying at other times. Sometimes it can be kind of cool seeing everyone band together and achieving some kind of accomplished majority, like in Twitch- plays-Pokemon. Most of the time it's a tired old meme or useless trend.
In Splatoon 2's case, the furry thing was cute for a bit, but now everything that's come after it is just another silly debate. It's like the Splatoon 2 meme has itself become a tired meme.
Perhaps it would be nice to see a few original comments amidst the sea of copypaste? Those stand out far more than the meme these days.
@Nicolai I didn't mean to say that bandwaggoning is bad as a whole. Many great things have been achieved by coming together and rallying towards a common goal. It's just these mindless and often nonsensical trends/short-lived memes that flock Splatoon 2's posts that I was referring to as 'bandwaggoning nonsense'. Discussing furries and such has made a bit of sense at least but everything after has been a cringe show after another.
These few really funny or even informative posts are the very reason I haven't disabled showing posts and won't ever do so.
@Nicolai We all know the best thing Nintendo fans banded together for is the M Y B E D I S C O L D meme.
@GoldenGamer88 I really don't know how Nintendo sidestepped that PR dilemma when they had incredibly strict moderation on Miiverse. They would strike posts with the subtlest mentions of anything that could possibly be deemed inappropriate with the flimsy excuse of "Think of the children!"
@Nintendoer Never used Miiverse except for Mario Maker but I heard there were seperate forums of sorts for furries posts. No idea whether that's true but I have no memory of seeing anything like Inkopolis Square's posts so what you're saying makes sense to me. They could do something similar in Spla2n given the age restriction as well, I suppose.
