See, my playstyle has wound up varying a lot depending on the mode. My posts last night came from using the Carbon Roller in Splat Zones and the Firefin Splatterscope in Rainmaker. Still not sure what I like best in Tower Control, though.
Here's another cool thing from Inkipedia: the Ink Saver (Sub) page shows how much you need to stack the ability to use your subweapon twice without stopping to refill ink. I wanna try this with Autobombs, but that means filling almost every slot (although it does conveniently leave just enough room for Ninja Squid). Long-term goal, I guess.
(If you don't know what they mean by "points", a main ability is 10 points and a sub ability is 3.)
I think I'll be taking a break from Splatoon after this weekend's Splatfest. After the second bad splat day in a row with a roughly 70% loss rate, I feel .... tired of the game, like it isn't fun to me anymore with even victories feeling like the calm before the storm (the storm being the next loss). So I'll be playing other stuff in the meantime like eShop games I once bought but never finished, gonna check out Destiny 2 as well and continue working on yet another Minecraft world I'm building over on the PS4 version. I don't know when I'll return to Turf Wars but I'll certainly play Salmon Run, participate in Splatfests and try out new weapons. Gotta recharge those batteries, man.
Coincidentally, I've stopped playing Splatoon 1 at level 42, the level I am at right now. Ah well, I don't believe in these kinds of omen.
Friendly reminder that you can shoot down a Drizzler's Ink Storm missiles, and that doing so while directly facing the Drizzler will instantly splat it. Nobody but me seems to do this! Heck, I spent like half a wave holding off a Drizzler while everyone else just ignored it, which is particularly unwise during high tide.
Another annoying thing is wiping on Wave 3 and seeing that none of your teammates ever used their specials. (The packets strapped to players' hats are special charges, if you never noticed.)
As a less complainy reminder, a new month means new Grizzco gear. You can now get yourself a life vest, and bare a little midriff while wearing it. Ooh la la.
@GoldenGamer88 I burned out like that on the original game, but so far I feel like the better balancing and sense of progress will keep that from happening here.

Did not know this! It's always been a dilemma for me deciding whether or not to take out the missile and sacrifice progress on taking out the Drizzler. It's good to know it's possible to do both at once.
I've actually been getting pretty fed up with the combination of the 2 hour rotation and the separate ranks per mode. It seems like every time I'm one game away from a rank change, the mode changes till who knows when.

Already wanted to write a comment when we'd get another Grizzco gear since it felt like an eternity to me with that mining helmet. I do realize they come with varying main abilities but geez, a whole months seems kinda long to me. Salmon Run ain't closed that often either.
On a seperate note, I wonder when we'll get the first Grizzco weapon. Probably won't be too soon as we're still getting our weekly weapon/stage.
Also, looking good there, Inkling Girl. Sadly, mine exclusively wears a skirt (which looks ridiculous with the vest) and I exclusively use Ninja Squid clothing, the bread and butter of my tactics.
@shani Only the Burst Bomb. But yes, you caught me out on that; I didn't realise it actually shows the number needed to throw three of those. You can also put out two Ink Mines pretty quickly, but it does require a brief refill.
@shani You can have more than one out, but not without refilling ink in between uses - that's the point here (and remember subweapons also have a delay before you can even start refilling).
I really wish the Switch had the ability to take videos. The amount of lag I've had lately is just awful. I think it might be my Switch's connection, but I also blame the Switch's awful Wi-Fi for that.
Splatfest version of stages look always so great - for the most part. Don't remember exactly how they looked but in-door locations such as Humpback or Musselforge didn't look all too different from their normal versions. Hope we'll play against the other team this time around a lot more often and not against our own team like last time. I have seen a roughly equal amount of Flight and Invisibility members so this shouldn't be too much of an issue this time around ... hopefully.
