I give up. Spyro coming to Switch is never going to happen. It would have made complete sense to make Switch a priority for Spyro since Skylanders sold tons more on Nintendo systems. I have no doubt that Spyro on Switch would have sold more than it did combined on the other consoles, but instead we are completely ignored.
Just quit being stupid and tell us no already! As for me, I’m getting a PS4.
I really can't understand why this hasn't/didn't come to the Switch. It boggles my mind. I've never played a Spyro game, but I might have tried this if it had come out on the Switch.
That's for the best if you care deeply about third party games anyway. And they go on sale for pretty cheap, so there you go.
The file size is pretty huge on PS4, from what I recall, which could end up being an issue for the Switch version. Heck, maybe it just doesn't run at an acceptable level of performance on Switch. Didn't the Crash Bandicoot remaster sink to 480p or something in handheld mode?
I'd still hold out for a Switch or PC version tbh. I have no reason to get a PS4 version of anything if I have a Switch (portability) or PC (60-144fps) version.

@GyroZeppeli
Not sure what you mean... I have the original Spyro games and all the Skylanders games and Skylanders definitely has more complex graphics and areas. There is no reason a Spyro game could not run perfectly on the Switch if brought up to the level of graphics that Skylanders has.
It would be ridiculous for a company to claim that a modern console cannot handle the complexity of a 1998 video game remake. I’m not asking for it to feature PS4 graphics, something comparable to Skylanders would be perfectly fine.
@EvilLucario yes, I’d much rather have it on Switch but as a Nintendo fan... I’ve been holding out on games like GTA 3, etc forever and just like those games... it will probably never happen
@stevep I feel you, but in that case I'd just get those games on PC. For me there's little reason to get any third-party game on PlayStation or Xbox because they're both inferior to PC, and Nintendo offers portability which PlayStation can only barely give with Remote Play and Xbox has nothing.
I'd wait until September probably. Then if Spyro doesn't appear on Switch and PC, get the PS4 version. I get that it'll be tough to wait, but that's how I'd go about it.

@stevep Obviously the original Spyro has nothing on Skylanders. The remake, however, is more intensive than Skylanders in graphics and file sizes.
The main problems with porting Spyro are compressing the data so it can fit on 16 GB cartridge and not having a noticeably inferior experience. These were the same problems with the Crash port. It worked then, but lighting might not strike twice.
