According to the banner adverts currently running on NL (which are presumably paid for by the publisher), this game is now out on Switch - but the most-recent article (https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2021/01/video_check_out_some_hot_paladin_action_in_our_skyforge_switch_gameplay_exclusive) states that it will not be out for a few days, on 4 February. So, my queries are:
1. Is this game out yet? (I'm not in a place where I can access the eShop, or I'd just check myself. lol)
2. If so, has anyone tried it? Is it any good?
EDITED: initial queries have been answered, and thread had been edited to general-use
It's out early for anyone who bought the founders pack (like me) on the eshop for $14.99
The games pretty alright. Just your standard mmo with not much else to it, really. Be warned the frame stuttering does get pretty bad in larger, more intense areas of the game and it does a have a play-to-win design after you beat the main story, not to mention the missions do get repetitive and are fairly short in length.
Overall, if you like mmos like ESO or Phantasy Star Online, then you should be able to find enjoyment in the game

@JokerCK, possibly not yet in North America (though I haven’t checked in a few hours). The eShop page said 6am PST, which was just 32 minutes ago so the eShop here might not have updated the release yet (as Magician said).
I’ll check in a bit. It’ll be out today regardless, but not everywhere in the world drops games at the exact same moment.

I'll just copy/paste my opinion of the game from my thread and delete it.
I don't see the sense in having multiple threads about the game.
Anywho...copy/paste...and...
Firstly, the game is an action/rpg akin to Phantasy Star Online; it is a fun game I recommend you at least try out. Also it's F2P, so you cannot beat the asking price. However, it is a live service, once the servers go offline everything you've earned will be gone.
Second, a warning. The game's progression is broken. I originally played this on PS4 at that version's launch years ago. I became a junior god and left the game shortly after because there were other games I wanted to play. But when I returned to the game earlier this year enemies had been tuned to the point where I couldn't complete basic missions.
I was a junior god in status but additional stat and gear progression was oddly locked out due to a developer oversight. And since everything is saved server-side there are no character resets, you cannot start over. I became stuck and the game was dead for me.
That said, the game is cool. There's some fun to be had, just...beware.

So, I’ve now had a chance to try this game out through one mission. My thoughts:
CHOPPY! Even the music because juttery as hecc in that first mission!
Overall the combat is enjoyable though. I ran Cryomancer (offensive mage) for the first mission, but I think I’m gonna swap to Paladin (tanky melee) for subsequent missions, at least as long as I’m playing solo. Ranged DPS isn’t actually killing things any faster than Tank once I consider all the time I spent evading, running away and healing. ETA: It is nice to be able to switch classes at will, without having to pay nor to create an entirely new character.
The free cosmetic skin and accessories given to early Switch adopters are sweet! I usually don’t even use cosmetics in MMOs when ‘class costumes’ are available, but these were so cool I equipped them immediately!
All in all, a fun game. Sort of severe performance issues (a bit worse than I’d even expected, and I was expecting some performance issues), but a fun way to kill a few minutes here and there.
Anyone on here know why the game freezes and crashes at times? For me it's at the very beginning of the game. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
@Dakotastomp, I didn’t have any crashing problems—yet (touches nearest wooden object)—but I did experience a lot of stuttering and frame dropping.
In my experience, all of that is normal with console MMOs at launch. Servers are typically at higher-than-usual strain, and typically the games aren’t yet fully optimised for the platform yet (as MMOs are really tough to fully optimise before going live, since it’s not really possible to fully simulate a full-server-instance environment without having live players).
I’d say just keep trying, and also that I’d definitely expect some incremental patches soon that’ll help stabilise it.

Geezzz... this game loks so creepy. What resolution is this? A 240p? Plus it constantly crashes at the start. I had to chose another account than the one i've downloaded it with, otherwise the game wouldnt't even start.
I played for a few hours last night. Even on my garbage wi-fi (20 down, 5 up) the game was enjoyable to play, although performance chugged in the open zones. Naturally the solo mission instances ran smoother. I still really enjoy this game's combat.

Resolution is admittedly low in a lot of places, but it seems the frame rate and stability are both back to normal now. That’s mostly to be expected, since the game has now been out for around 24 hours so the initial server rush has died down.
This game is not ‘Pokémon GO in summer 2016’ levels of anticipated, lol. Around a day is sort of the expectation before things begin to stabilise.
