@llarose40 Since sometimes questions like this might sit a while before they are answered, I'll take a stab. (unless someone here with Clubhouse 51 Games can confirm, or correct me)
In general, with most games, you only see other people's usernames when you play against other consoles via local wireless multiplayer or online multiplayer games. That might be the case with Clubhouse 51 games.
So, if you're playing multiplayer on one console, I think that mode will only say "player 2", "player 3", etc.. (Logic being: A lot of game developers prioritize simplicity & ease of starting a game to maximize playtime, rather than waiting for each player to type usernames. I'll agree, though, seeing user names has it's appeal.)
I don't think you can, I'm afraid. There are a few Switch games that let you use multiple accounts at the same time in multiplayer, like Minecraft and Rocket League, but Nintendo never seems to put that functionality in their own games for some reason.
@llarose40 : Unfortunately, this varies on a game-by-game basis. In my experience, most games will treat additional players in local couch multiplayer as generic players (with little option for player customisation), while some (Jeopardy and Animal Crossing: New Horizons being two such examples that spring to mind) will give you the option to use other user profiles on your console.
