Topic: Rune Factory 5's Bachelors & Bachelorettes

I have to be honest: I'm pretty disappointed with the bachelorettes in this one! I'm tired of the trope of "helpless/naive/sheltered woman needs your help" and from what I've read, Rune Factory 5 is FULL of that.

Also, one of the characters is a dog-girl (wereanimal, apparently) who speaks in barks. I'm a little worried that her character will fall into the "Born Sexy Yesterday" trope where the love interest is mentally a child 😬

The boys are cute though. I think I'll be going for Ryker, the hooded rogueish guy, unless his dialogue creeps me out (this happens a lot in these kinds of games).

Who has everyone else got their eye on?

I don’t know the new characters in this one yet, but I remember wooing the sleep girl in the fourth game on 3DS.

I'll wait until I play the game itself, but appearance-wise...eh. I miss Amber and Xiao-Pai, lol

I don't find any of them particularly appealing.

Appearance wise I'd probably go for Murakumo. I generally prefer more mature looking guys with beards, and this is the closest I'll get to that I guess. Usually the ineligible adults in Rune Facotry games are way more appealing to me, like Volkanon from RF4 or Gordon from RF2.

I'll probably end up marrying based on personality, right now Ryker, Beatrice and Ludmila seem the most appealing but that could easily change once I actually play the game.

This is my first factory game, so idk, I'm not getting it day one but I will at some point, That silvered haired woman is who i'm going for, she looks really cute, but how she acts, we will just have to wait and see.

So it's just an idea! After all, if people are ok discussing it on its own thread, then there's no problem in letting it be.

@KateGray So are you going for any of the woman and don't have liking to them or are you talking about how you don't like how there represented?

Bc I agree with you the helpless woman, its getting pretty old, I wish they had more woman that are edgy. as they don't have them alot in games like these.

@Snatcher I'll try getting to know them and see how it goes. I would like to see more female characters like Fire Emblem: TH had! They were all really independent, with plenty of personality and depth. It could be the same in Rune Factory, but they all look so similar! And so YOUNG!

@KateGray So does that mean your gonna go for the guys? I'm going for whatever woman I like, Regardless of looks, how I do it most of the time, I just make a guess who I would like based on looks, but when i'm playing the game, well.
