@Lroy, as long as you dont get sucked in to buying keys to open crates. I've seen people moan about the poor odds of getting anything nice all the time.
If you do any sort of trading, just use crates to pay for items. Also, If you have any flower points saved up from the spring event, you can trade them in for a few freebies in the spring event shop.
You can also get a free antenna by using the konami code at the title screen. ↑↑↓↓← →← → start.
@Lroy I just remembered, if you ever get painted halo's or painted foam & chef hats drop after a match, people seem to go crazy for them. You could get some nice items from trades with them.
@607jf The reason that's happening just now is because the other consoles and Steam have received a patch to fix the tournaments 2 days ago. Nintendo take longer to certify a patch so it won't arrive until a few days after. Until then cross play is unavailable. Hopefully the patch will be there over the weekend. They're giving us 3 free Decryptor's to apologise.
@Oorwullie Ah, cool. I thought Psyonix had totally messed something up. Atleast they're being nice and handing out decryptors because of the wait.
Tbh though, It's been far less buggy playing with Switch owners aswell.
@Dizzy_Boy Annoying when that happens,even more so when you've spent money on keys. You would a new crate with none of its items yet owned the odds on getting something cool would be in your favour but nope. Saying that, I've usually done alright with decryptors so far. It's keys that I have rotten luck with.
I wouldn't mind if it had been a drop from a normal key, I could swap the samurai for something that I want rather easily. People are going nuts for that car, even for the non painted, non certified samurai.
Thing is, now that I have the samurai, I know my next 2 decryptor drops will more than likely be rare or very rare items How often do exotics or better drop within the space of 3 keys, very unlikely.
I had some good luck recently with trading though. I went from trading my Jager to a Centio, to an Endo, to a Samurai, to a Cobalt Mantis, that freed up my standard Mantis which I traded for a crimson Jager. So I ended up with 2 paint jobs for free. I already own a Centio and an Endo, so I had no problem trading spares.
@Dizzy_Boy I'm forgetting the Samurai is a car. It might be ugly but if I get any car from using a Decryptor I'm fairly happy. My 3 free Decryptors didn't bring me much luck. I got thr banner from the Triumph crate which I'm fairly happy with then Funny Book decal for the Dominus which is OK I suppose, I didn't already own it and I do use the Dominus sometimes but still it's fairly plain and nothing to get excited about. With my last Decryptor I got the bloody Athena decal for the Mercedes van. That's 4 times now I've landed on that, I don't even use the Merc.
@Lroy. easiest things to keep in mind if you ever trade anything. Don't trade the items you want to keep and don't ever give somebody an item without them trading you an item back in the same trade. Some people will try to scam you out of your items by saying they'll give you better items later, or that they can duplicate your items for free. If a trade seems bad, it probably is.
Psyonix have finally got the twitch link working on the switch. Once your linked up, just put their twitch stream on and leave it running in the background somewhere. Apparantly the rewards should drop randomly in game. http://rewards.rocketleague.com/Auth/ @Oorwullie We'll, psyonix are adding in the ability to earn decryptors at some point, The samurai can just be an item that I'll use in the trade up thing in the garage. For now, I'm just having fun annoying people on my friends list with it.
@Joeynator3000 Just read someone on Twitter saying he watched 10 hours of streams and got 2 rewards. He wasn't annoyed though, he was happy with that I can tell you, if I watched 5 hours and got a lousy topper I would be annoyed.
