Basically whenever I place my right Joycon into the side of my switch, I get the red pop up thing but it doesn't connect to my console on the controllers screen, only stays separate, I haven't been able to figure out why this is and it's preventing me from playing hand-held at all.
@somenerdpng I havent encountered that problem specifically. Ocassionally though, my right joycon isn't recognized while connected to the console, but it's been resolved by going into controller setting, at the bottom of the switch home screen, to re connect the pairing, or re-assert your number 1 controller.
Just in case you didn't find this already, link to Nintendo support page for joy-con not being recognized. Forgive me if you already did this. Frequently, people aren't aware that Nintendo's support site is a good resource.
