This will probably be my 2026 GOTY. I need to slow down and pace myself, savour it, make it last. It's so darn moreish. I've broken my 'Last go' commitment about a hundred times already and I'm only on the third set of solo games.
I didn't think I could vibe any harder than I was during Hop N Slide, but then I aced that and moved on to Pop, Don't Drop and had the biggest groovegasm I think I've ever had. The SMILE on my face. If Barry Davies could've seen me...

I only started playing on friday and I'm doing one set of game per day so I've only beat the first two so far, I'm really enjoying the game so far
This is only my second Rhythm Heaven game, my first one was Megamix, and I think I'm enjoying this one a little bit more
I've been doing one set of games per day as well in between playing other games, it's a nice pace to avoid burning through the game too quickly and there's always the side modes if I want to keep playing. Having now played all the Rhythm Paradise games bar the GBA original (NSO release please Nintendo), I think it's one of my top five Nintendo series.

@charliecarrot wrong! that most likely is a calibration issue on your end, because the input does land on the beat.
also, yes, the visuals definitely throw you off very hard. best to just ignore them.
Saying "wrong" so definitively is odd when I pointed out that the feel is off. But I'm glad you have more insight than I do into how something feels to me, I guess?
I'd be surprised if the input wasn't actually exactly on the beat - I was just pointing out that something about either the animations, cues, or the music track makes it SEEM off, and I've seen many others share that feeling.
Edit: But yes I agree that closing your eyes is often the best way to get past a game you're struggling with! One of the ending comments even said "you could've done it with your eyes closed!" and I was like, that's funny because I did 😂 (and it lets you avoid those visual distractions)
@charliecarrot well like i said earlier, it's not necessarily a subjective thing where the input itself lands, i've messed with the delay enough to know that on appropriate settings, the inputs are on-beat, or at the very least close enough that i never barely/miss them.
that being said, the visual feedback is super off in that minigame and there's basically no point in using it as a reference. maybe that's on purpose, but it just feels bad lol

@squiddu-real Well I just tried for perfect on Yum Bot with my eyes closed, and I had it perfect right up until literally the very last pudding where I fumbled it. I don't even wanna look at that game again......

Got my first Perfect opportunity, on Remix 2, and managed it on my third try. I've come a long way since I played the DS game and could barely get any Superbs, let alone Perfects. Either that or the games have got easier. Probably a bit of both.

Been taking my time playing through the game in between playing other things and just finished getting medals on all the stages. Been a lot of fun so far. Seems like there's still plenty to do between going for Perfects as well as Rainbow Perfects and Night mode but the latter two might be a bit much for me.
I've only been doing like one row a day or so. I just got past remix 5. I'm really loving everything about this game, from the art direction to the music to all the different characters. I've played each game that's released in the US since the DS game, and this one really feels like a worthy entry in the franchise that stands up on its own.
One thing I kinda miss from megamix is the ability to see how close you are to hitting the beat perfectly (it would show on the bottom screen for each input) and the final score (so you can see how close you were to Superb if you didn't make it), but I understand that's probably a niche feature that's best suited for the kinda compilation game that Megamix was.
Also what I really don't love is how bad it feels to play on the TV. It doesn't seem to be a universal experience, I've heard mixed things on this, but I tried on TV last night after doing the TV calibration and it was nigh unplayable. All the visual cues become useless, but even worse, I tried doing one with my eyes closed and I was still missing the inputs. Tried it again handheld just to check and it worked perfectly. I redid the calibration a few times and nothing helped. Maybe it's something to do with my sound bar that connects to its subwoofer over bluetooth? Not sure but this will be one game I only play in handheld for sure.

Could be that the sound bar was wireless, mine isn't (well it's capable but I mine is hooked up by wire, lol), so I had no issues.
(try turning the sound bar off and use the TV speakers and see what that's like)
