Topic: Removing the smell of lemons from a pro controller

This is a bit of an odd conundrum. A friend of mine has a habit of consuming citrus constantly. And I mean constantly. Between games of smash bros, we swapped controllers, and I realized something. The entire controller (save the grips) smells strongly of lemons. Does anyone have any knowledge regarding how to remove the smell of lemons from the joysticks/d-pad/buttons/face?

Also, google is no help. It seems like everyone else either wants their devices to smell of lemon, or has a super sricky controller.
