You don't need the expansion pack for these, right, as they were NES/SNES titles? If so, I can't wait to see what the hype was all about with these.

@Pizzamorg Yep, basic switch online. I really want to play Earthbound because I want to see the game that gave birth to undertale, But I'm going to play the one on the SNES first, as people said you will be just fine playing it first.

Your maths, like with every naysayer since this started, only works if what we get now is where it ends. This thing started in November and I paid $110AU for a family membership. The price of two games. That got me the Animal Crossing DLC and now Mario Kart DLC for this year. I also put enough time into N64 for it to be one of my most played apps. And I am one of five people in my group

That's this year, as we know so far, and it's February. You think we get nothing else until November? November next year even? Well be ready to join the people earlier in this thread who said N64 was it, be prepared to be proven wrong at E3 as they were today

Quick question: What should I play first? Earthbound or Beginnings? I know Beginnings is the first game chronologically but I think starting with Earthbound would be the best way to get into both, you know?

@Fizza When the game first came to the west I think, it was on the SNES, so a lot of people started with that from what I heard, I also heard the first one is much harder, and there are call backs here and there, but you will get those when you play the first game.

@Fizza Try Beginnings first. It's very rough compared to Earthbound so if you play Earthbound first you may not settle for Beginnings' downgrades plus that's the order anyway.

So I'm jut about to start Earthbound Beginnings and I need to know: what are the official names for the characters you name at the beginning? I know the first one is Ninten but I haven't got a clue for 'this girl', 'this other boy' or 'this last boy's'. I really want to play through the first time with the official names so if anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it!

@blindsquarel I don't think you lose the mario kart DLC if you cancel the subscription.

@Ninfan You do. Once your membership expires or you happen to delete your Nintendo Account that has access to NSO + expansion pack, you'll no longer be able to play the Mario Kart DLC. There's not really a way to cancel your NSO sub, by the way, the closest you can get to that is by turning off automatic renewal and having your sub run its course.

@MarioLover92 If you miss paying your NSO subscription and pay again later you still get the same package also if you stop paying for NSO any games you have with nes,snes, mega drive, N64 still stay in your nes, snes e.t.c. apps. At least they do here.

@Ninfan Yeah, as far as I know, you can still have them downloaded on your Switch, but if your online membership ends, you won't be able to play them unless you pay for another membership.

@skywake It'll be interesting to see whether the DLC added to the expansion pack goes beyond games that have features which require base NSO.

Do we earn Gold Coins for buying NSO code and activating and for buying Expansion for it as well?

I got question about buying NSO in my country i can't buy online and neither use eShop now my question is if i put USA or any other country where NSO is available will i get online only for North America? And if i put my postal code that is not from USA will they let me buy it and use it?

This whole NSO comes across like Nintendo has one poor sod in the Europe department creating emulators and someone else slowly porting games over onto the emulators. There’s obviously little incentive to invest any real resources into it because enough people are paying for it that the bare minimum is enough.

@FragRed do not want to admit it, but you are correct.

@Ninfan I look forward to whatever the next system to be added immediately stopping the monthly releases of N64 games in order to focus on the one or two regular games for that new platform.

@FragRed although GBA games would be good. There's some really brilliant games on GBA.
