Oh, man! I hadn't really seen it! Gotta start looking up here before posting anything in order to avoid double (and late) info. Thanks for letting me know!

I got this added to an existing Play-Asia order that coincidentally is going to ship around April 21st.
I'm glad that this is actually going to be available elsewhere, not just on Square Enix's own site with an absurdly overpriced collector's edition, and a standard edition sold out within an hour of being shadow-dropped in the early hours of the Western world on a Sunday.

Don't bother with Play Asia, they are a bunch of scam artists and crooks. They still owe me a controller I ordered about 10 years ago.

@Tasuki I'm honestly shocked these weren't showcased in the Nintendo Direct earlier this month.

@Ninfan Hey there! Nah, not really. This is something we used to jokingly say back in the 80's/90's (a "my uncle works at" variant) to show off or spread some "inside info" (that were actually made up, mind you).

On that note, my friend's dad did actually worked as a Nintendo rep in the mid 90's here in Brazil. (No one believed him back then though 😅).

Ralizah

@Tasuki I think that's a bit harsh. I've never had an issue with Play-Asia, and other people I know who've ordered from them have also had satisfying experiences.

I don't know what the company was like ten years ago, but they seem perfectly reputable these days.

Ugh. Men.

Ralizah

@Tasuki As I said, my experiences with the company have been uniformly positive, and the same is true of many others. I realize this doesn't change your own bad experience, but they're definitely not "scam artists."

Anyway, out of curiosity, if they really were unwilling to help you, is there a reason you didn't request a chargeback?

@Ralizah Oh, I got the money back from my bank but the point is, it shouldn't have lead to that. Instead of claiming that I got it Play Asia should have refunded my money especially because I told them I never received it and the tracking proved it. Not only that but I had to get a new card change all my information that that card was linked too. A hassle that could have been avoided if Play Asia would have just refunded my money for an item that they never delivered, instead of keeping the money like the crooks they are.

Someone who takes someone's money and doesn't delivery the goods or service they offered that is the very definition of a scam artist.

Apologies if the answer to the following question is already 'common knowledge'... but I'm a bit out the loop on this topic.
I'm only really interested in playing/owning VI....

1) Will each remaster, I through to VI, be available individually to purchase?
2) And if "yes", will it be possible to purchase physical editions individually?
3) Release for such?

I imagine that physical will only be available for the bundle, but thought I'd ask

@CJD87

Each game will most likely be available individually digitally. But physically it's all or nothing.

On a sidenote.

Play-Asia has been mostly reliable in my experience. I've ordered from them many times over the past decade, close to to fifty orders or so. They haven't failed to deliver any of those. My only gripe with them is their pricing can sway into eBay flipper territory. Charging several hundred dollars above retail for special editions because...supply and demand.

Tasuki is overly spiteful against P-A, but for good reason. Nobody likes undelivered goods you've put money down on. It's the reason you'll see me pop off on First Press Games and 505 Games from time to time. Failure to deliver purchases.

@Magician Thanks mate, remind me the release date digitally for individual games? Or no specific date out?!

@CJD87
Only the bundle will be available physically. The digital versions will likely follow the Steam prices; 12 bucks each for Final Fantasy I-II, or 18 bucks each for Final Fantasy III-VI.

As for the release date, the only official one is currently Spring. Play-Asia claims that the physical edition will be released on 20th April, but this has not been confirmed, as of yet, by Square-Enix.

@Dimjimmer Decent and appreciated. Looks like I'll just get VI on the digital version then, no biggie.... 20th April only gives me a few weeks to smash it before TotK though, could be tight lol

Swooped in on the pre-order last night when I saw it on the site. About 12 hours later though, they changed the date from 4/20/2023 to Q2/2023 now.
