Topic: Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet

This one really needs to be a blowout. Time is running out and there's still a lot that needs to be answered. What is the region name and map (I can't believe we're still wondering about this in freaking August, we've never wondered this after June)? What are they doing with gyms in this game? Are we going to be able to challenge gyms in any order? Will the gym leaders' teams scale up with your badge count? How can we traverse the open world? What kinds of field abilities can we use and how can we use them? Is there anything else we can do in the open world? What are the catching and battling mechanics like? Are they more like LA or past games? What's the burst gimmick (like Megas, Z-Moves, Dynamax)? What's the premise of the storyline?

Just waaaaaay too many basic questions for a game that's coming out in 3 months to the point where if we don't learn a LOT about this game tomorrow, you really have to wonder if there's going to be significantly less content than other main series games.

Imagine if the Quaxly evolution become like this. 🤭

I haven't liked any water starter evolutions since generation 5 (with that one being the last one I liked enough to actually use), and this is the first time I really want to use the water starter based on it's first form... So I hope they don't ruin it again.

Now that we're less than a day away from this Presents, there's a tradition I have in the 5 or so minutes right before they start: playing the Spear Pillar theme from Diamond and Pearl.

@Fizza I just sit quietly and ponder what might happen. I might change that this year and blast the Spear Pillar theme on full volume... I'm kidding, that song is awesome though!

2 hours until the Presents begins and I'm so damn excited. The excitement hadn't quite hit me yet when the Presents was originally announced (probably because I used up all my energy when they announced the next wave of Mario Kart DLC XD) but now that we're so close to it beginning, it's making me very excited indeed. We're going to get brand new, never-before-seen (leaks don't count) Pokemon today and that what makes me incredibly anxious for this thing to get started. Bring on the hype baby!

I keep my expectation low as I don't really have strong hype with Pokemon games, but still keep my eyes on the upcoming Pokemon games on consoles.

5 minutes till the stream starts. I'm pumped and I just woke up 3 minutes ago.

So the region name was Paldea.
The gimmick in the game was Tera (Crystalize mode)

Motorbikes!!! Crystals!!! Fidough!!! 3 Storys!!!... Mediocre live stream.

I think the game looks great, and Pokémon bikes, ooo, I’m happy about that one.

The new gimmick still needs to grow on me a little more as I need to see how other Pokémon will look with it, but other then that ai think it looks pretty good, mega evolution is still my favorite tho.

Also was I the only one that thought we were going to get a Pokémon gold remake? I know it’s stupid to expect but I didn’t think that till that trailer for masters with the shot of red made me think we were getting one.

Now, I’m gonna go take a rest, have a good time folks.

Well, they were obviously vehicle Pokemons since from 2nd trailer.

If there are gas stations and our bikes are dragons, Do we need to feed them for fuel. Also if I fall off a cliff with my dragon-bike will my insurance cover the damages?

@Fizza Bikes make all the difference, and now I’m convinced that Pokémon are just mutated objects, ai mean look at those nice weels! Oh and the fact that there is a **** gas station my god.
