Idk if I should be worried that they didn't show any gameplay but it's always exciting to see these games releasing after no news for years! SMTV, Bayonetta 3, Metroid Dread, and Pikmin 4 were all games that seemed to vanish but now they're all here! All that's left is Metroid Prime 4 lol.

Back when I played and beat Pikmin 3 for Wii U, I fell in love so hard I was desperately clinging to news of the next entry. Had to endure Hey! Pikmin and Pikmin Bloom, all the while being told Pikmin 4 was "nearing completion" back in what, 2015-2016?
At this stage, Miamoto has made many contributions to Nintendo. He's legendary. But he's also nearing retirement, and Pikmin is the last top-shelf project he owns. It's all I want from Miamoto at this point, and all I expect. Just give me Pikmin 4 and I'll be happy.
Hard to believe it was actually formally revealed with a release window. By the time it drops it will have been TEN YEARS since the last entry debuted. A full DECADE of waiting for a new Pikmin game. And this is partly why the series has struggled to break through, imo. It needs more frequent releases.
Hopefully, with Pikmin 3 Deluxe now on Switch, and Pikmin Bloom potentially interesting new players, Pikmin 4 can finally be the breakout the series deserves.

Anyways, decided to get the Switch version of Pikmin 3 just because I've been feeling like playing the series recently. Even been playing Pikmin 2...
But for 3, I was looking at Brittany's notes on the enemies...and it's making me think if these notes are referencing 4. What if we'll be capturing/taming enemies and using them alongside the Pikmin...?

@JaxonH SMTV is real and released, Bayonetta 3 is real and releasing next month, BotW 2 is real and releasing in May, Pikmin 4 is real and releasing next year leaving Metroid Prime 4 as the only still MIA after several years Nintendo published game left.
The million-Dollar question is (and probably always remains): Was this game in development for all this time, or did they finally make it to silence us? Maybe that guy on this site (forgot his/her name) was right: It was a project that got sidelined many times by other things, but now its almost ready. I wonder what Miyamoto's involvement is. It seems he totally stopped working on games, but now I have a feeling that he might be back in the fray for this title. I hope he does right. He said something about a feature: Seeing in the perspective of the Pikmin. Maybe a first-person mode? And that screenshot with Brittany, is that from Pikmin 4? Anyway, good that its coming!
I thought: Now is the time to start Pikmin 3 deluxe. And so far I really like it.
