Finally, Ori and the Will of the Wisps finds it's way on the Switch!
Are you as excited as I am? I hope it will be 1080p 60fps on docked mode.

It's confirmed Will of the Wisps targets 900p in docked and 720p in handheld, but it runs at 60fps! Looks to be just as good of a port as Blind Forest was, considering Will of the Wisps is more intensive.

I loved the first Ori. Can't wait to play the sequel!

It's native res undocked AND 60fps?

I mean, I know it's a 2D game, but it's very premium 2D. I'm tempted to buy it now just to support the effort that went into the porting process.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

Is this related to Ori and the blind forest? I don’t know much about this game.

As long as it was good as the Demo I tried I am Game for it. Now if I can just afford it that's another matter.

So I took the plunge and ordered the uber physical edition.

Even ponied up for overnight shipping...just in case.

That's $190 I didn't expect to spend today.

Other people who have been running into many bugs? I clipped through level geometry, got stuck in loading zones and had a few crashes already. Also, the dynamic resolutions seems very aggressive, and load times a bit long. Starting the game takes almost 2 minutes, opening the map usually results in the game hanging for some time... I loved the first game, but so far this one has been a bit harder to enjoy.

@Magician I’m also thinking to buy the collector’s edition. But.... 165 euro is very steep. And I already have Ori BF digitally...

What made you decide to get it? I’m pretty torn.

I havent played it elsewhere but the game looks very melencholic, elegant and beautiful. I've heard good from others and look forward to it!

First, I bought the collector's edition because I'm a fan of the metroidvania genre, and both Ori games are considered two of the best. Second, I'm a borderline maniac when it comes to building a physical collection for the Switch, and I loathe paying double or more for boutique releases like this from resellers. And while this hasn't been the most I've spent on a collector's edition, that glow-in-the-dark collector box will probably make this release a centerpiece for my display.

I'm gonna buy it probably tonight or tomorrow. I loved the original. A bit more casual of a platformer/metroidvania than Hollow Knight. Bummer to hear about some initial performance issues, but I'm sure there will be some patches.

The first Ori is pretty accessible. Definitely not as hard as Hollow Knight. It focuses more on platforming than combat. And the difficulty curve is relatively smooth.
