OMG OMG OMG so happy now my status has changed to Awaiting Dispatch on the Nintendo uk shop and my payment for it has gone into Nintendo I hope it does come on Friday fingers crossed.
You've got to remember that these are probably being sent by courier which is next day delivery. As long as you get a dispatch email today you should be fine for launch.
Mine was dispatched yesterday so there's a good chance I could have mine today. However I am in work, so may have to wait till I'm off tomorrow anyway to collect a missed delivery.
Pre-ordered switch on 14 January from Nintendo U.K store after phoning them to make sure console would definately arrive on March 3rd release date.The console is for my seven year old son who has been into nintendo since he was three years old and owns a Wii,aWii U and a 3DS XL plus countless accessories and games.He has wanted the switch since it was first announced and all birthday presents and xmas presents from his various relatives he has asked for cash to put towards his switch purchase.Last night at 23:58 we recieved an email that their was a problem with the payment(Nintendo U.K. did not say what problem was),there are plenty of funds in bank account and we had contacted bank a few days ago to let them know of this purchase.Tried to contact Nintendo uk this morning only to get a recorded message saying phone contact would be unavailable until 15:00 hours this afternoon due to training,really? The day before switch launch.This I think is both preposterous and disgraceful on Nintendo U,Ks part.Quiet unbelievable actually.My son has been counting down the days to launch and had been planning this whole weekend around the switches arrival is going to be one very upset kid .I am dreading telling him its not coming.
Starting to get worried now... Game.co.uk still hasn't taken payment for my Switch Pre order, the status is still 'unshipped'
Also my Amazon order for BoTW is 'Dispatching Now' but 'Delivery Date Pending' 😕

Thanks for the info,much appreciated.I was aware of this and ordered one 20 minutes ago unfortunately will not arrive till monday though.I am so annoyed at nintendo store U.K though.Sending an email at two minutes to midnight last night(which we did not see till this morning) and now not being able to contact them because of training today of all days to have training.There should have been a hotline today with extra staff, NOT make themselves incommunicado.
Woke up and checked my bank account. I'm a lot poorer all of a sudden so I hope that's a good thing! Amazon tracking says "preparing for dispatch" so fingers crossed!

HI,Not too sure what you "kinda dont believe they would do",if its that they have made themselves incommunicado by phone I found it hard to believe myself,but that is the pre-recorded message I got this morning,"unable to take calls until three this afternoon due to staff training".I also dont think it makes any sense whether its today tomorrow or the next day,it just should not be happening at all in the period shortly before or after the biggest launch day for years.I have also contacted my bank who say there has been no attempt by Nintendo U,K. to withdraw funds from my account.I also appreciate that most peoples transaction will probably go through without a hitch,but I am sure I will not be alone in finding myself in this position,as there is no reason I can see why my order has proved problematic .
I'm in the exact same position as you. "Payment problem" email received just before midnight. This is using the same card that they happily debited to pay for Zelda the other day, so I'm not sure why it's suddenly a problem now.
Order status has gone from "awaiting stock pick" to "processing" so now I'm left wondering if I'm going to get it tomorrow.
It's very annoying, especially given that I was notified that they would attempt to take payment a few days in advance to prevent this exact situation. And now, here we are, the day before release.
I emailed Nintendo UK store yesterday concerned that my only option when pre-ordering my Switch was "standard delivery" and that this had taken 48hrs for my pre-ordered games and Amiibo to arrive with, and my Switch at that point was still 'awaiting stock pick'. They got back to me today saying that my Switch (and I assume all Switch orders) would be posted today as a next-day courier service. And the money has been taken and the console now 'awaiting delivery'.
Doesn't help those who had issues with their payments sorry, but thought it might help ease the worry of some folk wondering how it'll get there for launch.
You guys reckon the status on the Nintendo store would change during the day? Or is it a midnight change. As mine still says processing and awaiting stock pick :/
@Clarkeyclarke93 mine changed during the day (today). Was awaiting stock pick an hour ago, now awaiting dispatch. probably yours is a bit further down the pile than my order. I ordered day of announcement, 10pm ish.

Hi there,sorry to hear you are having the same problem,have you tried to contact them today? I tried and cant reach them by phone,so no way to try and sort it out or find out whats going on until at least three this afternoon which will probably be too late to recieve my order by tomorrow or even saturday,this training day thing leaves a bad taste and seems a bit convenient.Have they perhaps taken too many pre-orders that they cant fulfill for launch day? one would sincerely hope not.My wife and I are pretty chilled people and our attitude when something like this happens is Oh well,stuff happens its not the end of the world etc,but this order is for my son who has been counting down the days,and just said to me as he went off to school this morning "just one day to go dad"so i dont think he is going to be as chilled as he is only seven.Probably hard to believe,the way im ranting on this excellent forum,but we are not complainers normally,however in this instance I may very well try to get to the bottom of this,even if I have to write to Nintendo head office in Japan.
I'm so stupid. I just got a text from DPD saying my Switch will be delivered at "some point" on Friday. So what do I do, I go online, and upgrade my order to be delivered between 8:30 and 10:30 for £10. Why do I do these things, can I not simply wait. I suppose though, I am getting about a £10 back from ShopTo due to the price of BOTW being different from when I pre-ordered it though, so that kind of makes up for it, kind of.
Hope all you good folk who get their orders tomorrow or saturday have a blast.Apologies for my ranty posts,dont mean to put a downer on the actual launch.
