@burger_king Phew! That's cool to know. I'll try and get on to them and see if they'll do the same for me, though I'm kind of assuming they'll do that for everyone who pre-ordered in time. Thanks for the heads up!

@burger_king errr you have probably just messed up your order. Changing the delivery option will put you to the back of the queue most likely. This happened to me before when the idiots on live chat touched a pre order of mine.

Although hadn't they said that if you want it in time for launch day you need to pick standard? I guess what with this taking so long for everyone maybe they're taking different measures now?
I'd like them to be more transparent. I'll just wait it out and see.

just checked this with my pal that works for amazon and this shouldnt be the case, he said dont believe the internet trolls lol , just to put anyones mind at ease, whoever dealt with ur order messed up !

Anyone else having issues with the official Nintendo Store? Pre-ordered both console and Zelda (though Zelda as a separate order) pretty much as soon as pre-orders went up on 16th January. Then ordered some of the accessories including the Pro Controller the following day. So far the accessories have been shipped but expected sometime between Friday and Monday. Nothing so far on console and had an email this evening for Zelda stating that it won't arrive till Monday or Tuesday. I could accept it better if I had pre-ordered a few weeks later but not that early. What a total shambles.

Would it be worth it to check bestbuys and gamestops on Friday? I missed out multiple times on the preorder, and I'd rather not go to ebay. Any advice?

They have extras for walk ins, but who knows how many and if they'll sell out during the midnight launch

Seems pretty much in line with what I've seen so far. No-one's Switch console pre-order from Nintendo has been charged from their card or dispatched.

I pre-ordered the Switch and Breath of the Wild on January 13th and the order status has been "Awaiting Stock Pick" ever since. From Reddit, people's accessories and games (other than Zelda) have started getting charged and dispatched yesterday. Zelda started getting dispatched today with arrival estimates of next Monday or Tuesday. None of the consoles have been charged or shipped.

There's some speculation that the Monday/Tuesday estimate is based on a dispatch date of March 3rd and was probably provided by Royal Mail, whereas Nintendo Customer Services have confirmed that pre-orders will ship out in advance of release day. There are also some unconfirmed claims that Nintendo intends to send out Switch consoles as late as possible at the very last minute in order to prevent people from receiving them before March 3rd, though this claim isn't proven at all.

Personally neither my console nor game have been charged or dispatched, probably because they were together in the same order.

@NekoMichi Cheers for the info. Fingers crossed that the Zelda estimate is that. All seems a bit of a muddle. I have dropped them an email to clarify but I bet that they are inundated by confused people contacting them.

@NekoMichi yes it seems this is the situation with the consoles from the official online store - mine has been on preorder since the first day it was available and still it is sitting on "awaiting stock pick" and no money has been taken from my card. Here's hoping everyone wakes up to a different situation with their Switch's on the way (we've been looking forward to this for months)

I just received a email from Nintendo confirming that my order has failed:

Thank you for shopping with Nintendo.

One or more of your items is now ready to dispatch, however there has been a problem processing the payment for your order.

Unfortunately we are not able to resolve this and you will need to cancel your order and place a new order using an alternative payment method.

If you have any further questions please contact our customer services team and we will be happy to help. Please allow 30 minutes from receiving this e-mail before contacting us. This will ensure our system is updated.

For security reasons please do not send any payment details by email.

Weird thing is, my bank has no records of blocking any payments. Usually they would text me and ask to confirm my transaction or something but for this they seem to have just cut it off entirely without giving me any kind of warning or option to allow the transaction. (I've already checked and confirmed that the details were entered correctly the first time so the problem couldn't have been a typo in the payment details.)

So the nervous wait begins...

On the bright side, I ordered my Switch, Pro Controller, and Zelda BOTW LE separately, and the Pro Controller and Zelda BOTW got dispatched yesterday, so I'll at least have those...

But, a Switch is sort of needed, so I'm hoping everything goes smooth for everyone and their orders.
