Hi, Santa delivered a Nintendo Switch to my 11 year old daughter with Marion Kart 8 download included. In the Christmas morning rush I registered the device using my email address and Google account as I was unaware that she could go online with it and play with her friends. Now the dust has settled and she would like to play with her friends, but its under my account. How do I change this? Is it possible to change this?
Any help is greatly appreciated. As you can tell I'm new to the switch.
@luckydave : Contact Nintendo Support directly during business hours. If they're observing the New Year's Day public holiday tomorrow, then they may not be open tomorrow (or rather today, the 2nd of January), but I suspect that they're the only ones that can help you in this situation.
@luckydave That's a common problem with a family sharing a Switch (if I understand your dilemma). Game save data & game save profiles cannot be transfered to another switch user/nintendo account. The child either continues using the existing switch user (yours), or has to start a whole new game with a new switch user/nintendo account.
Also note, if you make a child account, the birth date of a nintendo account cannot be changed later. That account will not be able to play a teen rated or mature rated game until the birthday of that account reaches the required age.
