Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

It depends on your perspective. Before COVID I had hoped that Nintendo would remain quiet about first party software releases with the release of PS5 and Xbox SX on the horizon. Nintendo should load up on a strong software lineup for early 2021 while Sony and MS struggle to meet demand. If the Switch was my only platform I suppose I'd be as upset as some other Nintendo fans, but since I'm platform-agnostic it's easy for me to look at the empty Switch first party release schedule and shrug it off.

Well, back to Uncharted 4 then...

It already happened. HateStation and MotoBroJo had a watch party at 8AM BST today. Metroid Prime Trilogy, Star Fox X F-Zero Sessions, Mario's Super Anniversary Collection, and Mass Effect 2. All out in Winter 2021

What time (UK) tomorrow does everyone think their could be a shadow drop assuming there is one? Could it be anytime up to 11PM - mid afternoon east coast USA?

@MarioBrickLayer you’d need to include Japan time too so earlier than that.

11PM would be 7AM Saturday, which would be a strange.

I wonder what is more important time wise for Nintendo when doing a shadow drop, Japan or the USA? I suspect it wouldn't be Europe!

I really don't see there being a Nintendo Direct. I know our leaker has been pretty reliable on this, but we have to realize that a Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase was shadow dropped yesterday, a couple of days before the rumored date for a Nintendo Direct.

For one, I don't see any kind of Nintendo presentation being released in the same week as the Partner Showcase, and two, couldn't this Partner Showcase be what was leaked? Remember, the last Partner Showcase was leaked before and all we knew was "Nintendo Direct".

If they're going to both be the same week, no way in hell the main direct is the one that will be on Friday.

So, COD Black Ops Cold War was announced and it was leaked that the price for the next-gen consoles is $70. I guess $70 will be the new norm for games for next-gen consoles including the next Switch?

Oh boy. I just can't wait for ports and Pokemon games to cost $70 a piece! /s

Talking about announcements, in the Gamescom event, they show a few games coming to Switch, like Lego Star Wars, Little Nightmares 2, and Jurassic World Evolution among others, and I don’t see the news in here....

Lego Star Wars and Little Nightmares 2 coming to Switch is old news.

Jurassic Evolution World is new though.

Jeff Grubb lists yet again "Wild Card: Nintendo" before Sep 23rd, well he did mention before the we should expect something befor sep 16th

@Slowdive don't you think the rumored 3D Mario Collection that is suposed to be released in septembre to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Mario Franchise? is not another Star Fox Grand Prix situation.

@MarioBrickLayer i think i would be for the Japan time zone for Nintendo to anounce something or shadow drop something, like shadow drop the trailer of next game for Switch.

Peeps are so excited about the mario 3d collection and remasters, I’m a big mario fan too yet when all these were available on the wiiU no one was even bothered. 14 million it sold.
Same with metroid prime trilogy. Skywards swords.
I just hope the people don’t get disappointed again.
