@Slowdive I can tell you this about nintendo's plans and leakers. Nintendo has cared about selling us their retro compatible library since the Wii, which had nes, snes, N64 and gamecube.
Wiiu? Same.
So if anything it's safe to assume they would do it again...only because i don't see, from their perspective (from mine, as a consumer, I could tell you 100 reasons why I'm tired of buying mario world, and that's probably the reason why it's included with the online), a reason to not do it.
So maybe the dates of the leakers are wrong, but if Nintendo has a retro title of success, it will come to switch, rest assured.
Me? Having seen Sony announcing preorders a of a console we don't even know the price of, I'm not surprised of anything anymore about 2020.
Guys COVID has impacted companies and the incoming economic crysis has surely impacted outlooks and calendars.
One thing would surely be VERY strange: if Pikmin 3 Deluxe is the only first party title out for black friday/Christmas.
That would be very very strange.
Lack of information imho only indicates that Nintendo wants to play the same game of Microsoft and Sony, and with the launch of ps5 and Xbox there should be a big first party title that isn't Pikmin.
This is common logic for anyone who knows Nintendo's history as a company.
Will it be Mario 35th? Dunno. I'm skeptical too.
@LetsaGO so tell me how to play super mario sunshine on your wii u (without hacking it)
but yeah I agreee, i'm not really interessted in the collection either, i want brand new games but this is the problem of the switch, they just keep rereleasing old games and if you are a long term nintendo fan who has played all these game you are having a bad time playing new games
@mariomaster96 if you wanted to play it by now get your gamecube or Wii out to play it and if you only have your Wii u then mod it. You won’t be disappointed.
I really want that 3D Collection... I'm a Mario fan, but I didn't had the chance to try games like Sunshine, or 64, so Mario 3D Collection would be my chance to try these games in HD, in my Switch
My signature is so special and unique I don't want to share it with the internet
So, in case they announce a Direct for tomorrow, I think it will be a Parters Showcase, or just a Mini. Because Nintendo announces the regular Directs 2 days before...
Or maybe they're showing a new game via Twitter...
But I don't really think they'll show something tomorrow. So I'm hoping for the regular Direct on September

@mariomaster96 I mean, 'hacking' is an overstatement. It's as simple as navigating to a webpage via the browser and installing an app. If you want to play GameCube games on it, don't think there're any real barriers. The far harder part would be finding and ripping a Sunshine disc.
Cannot imagine Nintendo going back to the very first iteration of Super Mario 64; they likely have built further upon Super Mario 64 DS.
My hope is they used the original base game for the gameplay side, then used a higher res version of the textures from the DS version, and then improved some of the models slightly to increase the poly count and make it look less blocky.
They're not gonna do much more than that without charging more for it though.

I have the opposite opinion, I can't see Nintendo going back to that version. I'm undecided if they should or not, but its not the version of the game everyone remembers (and let's be honest it got overshadowed by its own minigames) so I feel like they'd largely ignore what it added regardless.
1996’s Super Mario 64, 2002’s Super Mario Sunshine and 2007’s Super Mario Galaxy will be released for Nintendo Switch, VGC understands.
On that same page, they claim the new Paper Mario would return to its RPG roots like the first 2 games.
Wasn't that essentially wrong?
I hope so, because I really don't want them leaving Galaxy 2 out of this collection, and I don't see why they would. Unless it's maybe being released later as a DLC add-on type thing.

Eh. I much prefer the DS version. It's the only version I actually played and beat, though I had played and rented the original on several occasions beforehand. And if you look at sales data, Super Mario 64 DS sold about the same number of copies as Super Mario 64 64 (so it's about 50/50 as to which version people would remember best). If the remaster were actually real, they could have an optional "classic mode" that would be the original version in addition to the updated remake.
I don't believe in it anymore. If Nintendo really is making a Switch 2 with a big line-up (they say its just a new model, but I believe its Switch 2, nobody can change my feelings) it might be released in March. Botw 2 might be in March, just as the first Botw was. Just as Botw it might be a duo game (a Switch version and a Switch 2 version). If they do a big reveal Direct in Januari or Februari we also finally might see Bayonetta 3, No more heroes 3, etc. And if its just a new model, maybe all those games have features that only work on Switch 2. When you play it on a regular one those features can't be used. I say this specifically because I can't see why Nintendo is holding back on all those games if it will just be a "updated" Switch. Sure they want to have 1 or 2 games at launch, but now we are talking about all the games. That sounds very fishy.
But to put it very shortly: If there isn't a proper Direct before the end of August, I don't expect one this year anymore. And it might be Nintendo's very first Holiday without a significant new game. Its terrible!
Having only Pikmin 3 for the holidays would be unprecedented, but nintendo has just sold animal crossing to a third of the total switch possessors in less than 6 months so...investors must be happy i presume
An important thing to remember is with the pre-Switch approach the current big holiday title would be something like Pokemon Sharp Sword/Sturdy Shield where the Sword/Shield expansion pass doesn't exist but instead its contents are put into a physical "3rd version" with a slightly different name which proceeds to sell like 8 million copies.
So realistically the current big holiday title is the Crown Tundra DLC for Sword/Shield.
Sorry, what new Switch model, @Henmii ....? I haven't seen anything official about one! Lots of speculation about a Switch 'Pro', if that's what you mean? Nintendo aren't developing Bayonetta 3 themselves, you know! So, what other games have you somehow decided are actually ready to release? BotW2 makes more sense next year, for instance
