Remaking Super Metroid with 2D art of the same kinda calibre as Rayman Legends would be awesome. Obviously it has a different kind of theme and look from Rayman. But that same kind AAA quality artwork. That would be incredible.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

I think Super Metroid could definitely benefit from a control scheme utilising the extra couple of shoulder buttons to give us missile/super missile toggling like the GBA games. Or possibly assigning one of those buttons to “run”.

But otherwise I think the grimy graphics suit the game perfectly. They might lose something with a higher resolution. Someone did however do a HD treatment of the mother brain battle that looks stunning.

I would love to see a Metroid announcement for the switch, maybe an update for Pokemon Let's Go, and for a third party title maybe Shadow of War or Assassin's Creed.

I've been revisiting Xenoblade Chronicles 2 this Christmas and man, such a beautiful game. Hope Monolith have something to show next Direct.

Still think Transformed will be the better game but at least Team Sonic Racing is more varied with its Sonic tracks than Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing. Rather than like 9 tracks based on Sonic Heroes, you've so far got a track based on every main series 3D Sonic game between Adventure and Colours except Sonic 06.

Sonic Adventure - Sand Road
Sonic Adventure 2 - Boo's House
Sonic Heroes - Whale Lagoon (retro track)
Sonic Unleashed - Market Street
Sonic Colours - Can't remember the name of the track but it's based on Planet Wisp

i still think will see Fire Emblem Three Houses in May and Animal Crossing in Late Summer or Early Fall of 2019.
Yoshi will probably come out March. and two unannounced Wii U ports.

as for the direct i think it will air on January 10, 2019 or January 17, 2019.

Hopefully the Yoshi game offers a meatier experience than Kirby did. I won't bother with it if reviews indicate it's bloody easy to complete and you'll be done with it in five hours.

I'd love to see Mortal Kombat XL, both Injustice games and the Batman Arkham titles on Switch. MK XL in particular, release it in March ahead of the April release of 11.

My somewhat realistic predictions:
Mini Direct. Full Direct in February/March.
Switch games only.
A couple of ports.
Yoshi release date.
Bite-sized Kirby out right there and then.
Some other stuff.

Own up to Joy-Con Drift, Nintendo. We all know it's your fault

January Direct will be either 10th or 17th January and will only feature games that are releasing in January to June 2019.

1. Opens with Metroid Prime Trilogy announced and dated. A note that MP4 will be at E3 will be included, but nothing else shown, except for maybe a new version of the Logo as that one at E3 2017 was clearly thrown together!
2. NSMBUD - quick reminder it's launching / out now.
3. Mario Party DLC in the form of 2 new Boards.
4. Yoshi’s Crafted World new trailer, a good 5 minutes of features discussed and launch date.
5. Daemon x Machina new trailer and launch date.
6. Wonderful 101 Port confirmed and launch date.
7. Fire Emblem Three Houses new trailer, a good 5 minutes of features discussed, launch date.
8. Star Fox Zero HD Port confirmed and launch date.
9. Mario Kart DLC (1 New Cup, 4 Tracks (2 Retro, 2 All New), 3 Characters)
10. Closes with "on the subject of Online" the following 15 SNES games are available right now, along with these 3 NES games for January. Confirms that new NES and SNES games will be added each month moving forward.

To confirm, I do not expect any news on Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Metroid Prime 4, Pikmin 4, Bayonetta 3, Luigi's Mansion 3 or 2D Zelda.

I do expect a Pokemon Direct to arrive in February or March, the next Nintendo Direct to arrive in March/ April and a Nindies Direct to land early February.
