@BruceCM They also just released Minecraft Dungeons in May on Switch, which they may not have wanted to release anything against (for good reason, its Minecraft). They definitely don't seem to have stopped with Nintendo releases quite yet.
@FragRed Rare Replay hasn't even come to PC yet, I'd imagine that would come first or at the same time as a Switch version. As for why it hasn't appeared on PC yet, well the collection isn't self-contained. When you select a game released on Xbox 360 like the Banjo games and the Perfect Dark games it loads the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility version and PC can't play Xbox 360 games in a backwards compatible sense.
The future of Xbox is in a really weird situation, do you take full advantage of OG Xbox and Xbox 360 backwards compatibility titles and "leave" PC behind or remaster a lot of OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games so that PC gets the ultimate experience. There's also the situation of what happens to Xbox 360 online if the ditching of 12 month Gold is a sign that Gold is changing.
Oh, yeah, I wasn't sure who made that, tbh, @link3710 .... Got the XBox monthly thing soon, so they might reveal something about future plans that include Switch there, maybe
@Don If it did get announced, I suspect it wouldn't be the same package. Throw out some of the 360 titles, and add in stuff like emulated versions of the Banjo games, Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong 64, the Donkey Kong Country trilogy and Perfect Dark. The Donkey Kong Lands and Conker's Pocket Days would be good additions as well. Maybe even stuff like R.C Pro Am and Slolam. That'd cover most of the collection, not sure if Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Jetpack Refueled, Nuts & Bolts or the Viva Pinatas would get included in exchange.
Of course, that's require a ton of negotiations to happen, but it does feel like the most likely way we'd see it. I feel like they'd have to let the DK titles go to Xbox in exchange for something like that though, which seems unlikely.
@Slowdive Interesting, GameXplain sometimes seem to have some inside knowledge (although they hide them as "predictions"), so seeing them making a prediction video on a direct which hasn't even been announced is interesting
@mariomaster96 I wondered why they did this, it seems odd to do so for a normal rumour so they must know about something, or at least feel the rumours on this particular Direct to have enough weight to do the video.

@mariomaster96 it's notable that they seemed certain on both the direct happening and the Mario collection. Most of the other stuff is just common sense (MercurySteam having gone three years without revealing a title, the two big remaining Wii U titles getting ported, Smash most likely getting no more than a brief hint if anything, the teased Castlevania part 2 collection, etc.)
Though if Splatoon Puzzle League happens I'm calling leaks.
And I still think those Mario titles are leaker bait though, no matter how many people seem to buy into it.
@mariomaster96
How do you know that they have inside knowledge, that they hide as predictions? Did they once say so? Did they correctly predict stuff like this in the past?
Gamexplain is only doing this because the Direct Mini was shadow dropped and the rumor could still be true if this Direct is also shadow dropped on Monday. I don't think they have any inside information, they just want to get their predictions out now because they don't think the Direct will be announced ahead of time.
Anyway, I think this has to be a full fledged Direct. It's July, their holiday games are releasing in a few months, and they need a blowout soon to give them the proper marketing time. It's time for Nintendo to open their mouths and tell us what's coming for the rest of the year.
Anyway, here's my predictions:
-3D remasters
-3D World port
-Super Mario Odyssey 2 tease for 2021
-Metroid 5
-Mario Kart 9
@Ktld878 Well, no sources have confirmed it thus far. Maybe it'll be released later, but as of now, it probably won't be released in the 3D Mario Collection.
I'm not expecting anything at all tbh. Seeing Gamexplain talk about it makes me more suspicious though. They've been giving me the impression that they know more than they let on, partially by how they report on things and how in their videos they'll occasionally make very small comments on whether something matches up with what they've heard behind the scenes. Generally, it's nonsense when it comes from smaller youtube channels who skirt by on awful 'leak/rumor' videos, but they've at least actually been a part of the industry for a while and have some history behind themselves.
@dionysos283 I didn't say they have inside knowledge but sometimes it appears like they do
Let's say in previous prediction videos they had some predictions that where unlikey or very detailed an then came true. For example before the direct where many Final Fantasy games where announced Jon predicted that many FF games like 7, 9, 10&10-2 etc come to the switch and he also said that FF8 won't be one of them and exactly that was announced in that direct
I mean that still could be a lucky guess especially since FF8 hasn't been remastered before whereas the othere where but still, also I think there were more of such predictions
@dionysos283 To be fair, Andre did used to work at IGN so he himself would at least know people you’d imagine. Plus I bet journalists talk, between sites and channels.

@jump This is what Nintendo does to people when there’s no first party games known about in the pipeline. I still don’t think we will hear anything, and I could see Nintendo staying silent for a good while longer.
