Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

@BruceCM Well, if you look at Super Mario Bros. release date- September 1985. So the anniversary could be September 2020- September 2021.

I think if a Direct isn't announced tomorrow (Friday) the chances of a Direct on Monday are very slim. Nintendo's quiet on weekends so a Direct wouldn't be announced over the weekend and Monday is too late unless it's a shadow drop Mini like in March.

@NintendoByNature Ooo, mine totally does. I phoned him and he said they’re planning a Direct for this Monday and it will announce a Mario/Zelda crossover called “The Legend Of Mario”.

All i want is mario galaxy 1 & 2 remastered in a pack on the switch. if that happens my life will be complete.

Also what do you guys think about the lego NES?

Or a bit before, in order for the 1st game/ collection to be on that date, @BabyYoshi12 .... ?

There is the Mario35th but people found other Twitter account similars FZeroJP and Pikmin4JP the last one being created in April instead of Mars

No Wario Land or Rhythm Tengoku/Heaven twitter accounts though I’m slightly disappointed haha

@Duboiss This is getting too exciting for it to not exist. I've never played an F-Zero or Pikmin game in my life, so many people can dive right in if this is really the real deal.

@Ktld878 it feels like the quintessential and ideal result of a collaboration between two revolutionary companies. It works in such a way that only Nintendo could have incited such a crazy idea! But it's very expensive and it will no doubt be a turn off to some.

@Slowdive God I hope thats fake because tbh that would be lame af. Feels like there's missing a really big title, cause the 3 biggest titles are F-Zero (which would be nice but would it really be considered a BIG title?) and ports/remaster of Mario games, not that interessting if you played them all. Also the original versions of Sunshine, Galaxy and Galaxy 2? Not even upscaled to 720p or 1080p which shouldn't be that hard considering Nintendo did exactly that in China with the Nvidia Shield (where they released some Wii games upscaled to 1080p) And also Ωmegacharged, yeah i understand the pun with the Ω, but still, that would literally mean Omegamegacharged

And the rest of the games are either already know or very niche (and the reveal of the next Smash character is almost garantied to happen)

But didn't the leaker say they will announce the direct today? guess we have to wait just few more hours to find out if that all was bulls*it or not

I wouldn't call Shantae a true icon myself, those games have more of a cult following.

I'm not sure they are saying there will be a direct on Monday, are they? Everyone seems to be saying there will be an announcement.

RGT85 on Youtube seems to think a Mario only announcement is mostly likely in July with a bigger Direct in September.

Not that I expect anything - I don't. But they have shadow dropped (Mini) Directs before. I remember that at least the first one since I got back into gaming (January '18 I think) was an unannounced Mini.

It would seem bizarre to shadow drop something as big as any Direct that is related to Mario's anniversary unless it's just a trailer and nothing more which it could well be. I still do not expect us to see anything on Monday, and people are just looking way too much into rumours.

The rumours are true, I'm reading too many of them in between playing Earthbound 3 and Star Fox Grand Prix for it to be false.

Rumours are fun but these are becoming more of a joke.
