Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

@VoidofLight A day before DK makes absolutely no sense, this is the huge single player game of the Switch 2’s launch, I can’t see a huge Direct, the one he was talking about, happening the day before DK. Nintendo has done weirder, but that just makes no sense to me

I actually hadn't heard about the Direct the day before Bananza rumor until just now, and I just gotta say... some rumors sound like they might actually happen, and it's fun to speculate, but this is just some fake poop.

Yeah, the rumor was fake. Apparently it was a "joke" Beatemups made. Sounds like he's kinda walking back on his claims because he realized that if he makes something up and it doesn't happen, people are going to be upset (which let's be real, people would still call him a leaker and believe him even when it turned out to be fake. Just like they do with every other fake leaker).

Good catch, I was just trying to use a different word than the S word since I don't swear a lot. I have no personal vendetta against anyone who uses swear words, I just don't use them often. I did make one up on my own though: shoelaces. I sometimes use that as a swear word since I don't like tying them 😡.

Apparently, according to copyright filing, a DK Movie is in the works. I am still quite skeptical about a Nintendo Direct in July, but with this announcement in mind, next week might actually be good timing now. Reminding people of DK Bananza and officially announcing a DK movie in the same breath would just make too much sense! (or maybe not and I just want there to be a Direct next week haha)

@neo9eo I think the Donkey Kong movie could be based on the Donkey Kong arcade game and revealed during a 40th Mario anniversary direct since that is the game Mario debuted in. The copyright is Donkey Kong, but it doesn't necessarily have to be based on the Donkey Kong series. Pauline is getting a lot of light recently with Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, so I feel like it could make sense.

@NintendoByNature I never watched him. Just looking at his thumbnails tells me that he must be annoying to watch.

The only gamer on YT I watch is 'Happy Console Gamer', proper chilled dude, seems really authentic

@NintendoByNature Same. I don't really know how people can stomach the guy. His thumbnails are obnoxious, and he constantly lies to his own audience- much like other Nintendo youtubers.

@ThatOneLevel @VoidofLight @CJD87 he's really just an annoying clown. I barely watch YouTube anymore unless its something NL posts, switchup, or spawnwave. I watch rgt from time to time but he's getting ridiculous too. Dreamcastguy might even be the worst of the bunch.

@NintendoByNature Dreamcastguy went from being reasonable to falling into really huge Sony fanboy territory. The guy sold his girlfriend his PS5 when he bought a PS5 Pro.

@VoidofLight he's an odd ball. I used to watch some of his stuff for RE related videos or FF, but he's flat out unwatchable now. His thumbnails are by far the worst.

@NintendoByNature SwitchUp is a great little channel actually. They do a great occasional segment "All Patched Up" where they revisit games that have had recent patches/updates, resulting in significant performance/graphical upheavals.
I like how they just speak 'normally' to the camera... it is the forced wackyness and high-energy of BeatEmUps I cannot stand

I wonder if Nintendo want to address the issue of bricking Switch 2 on next Nintendo Direct because of the dumped Switch 1 cartridge without acknowledge and it really harm the innocent customers who bought secondhand games.
If Nintendo just blindly punish innocent customers just like the game pirates without finding solution to give compensation, I cannot even defend Nintendo product because of that anti consumers policy. It just way beyond violations.

I found it difficult to believe that a direct would come before DKB, and now that Nate is claiming that one is coming later this month…seems more likely. Hopefully the rumor is true, really want some more release dates.

I still don't believe it, even with Nate chiming in. If there is one, it'll be a Partner Showcase most likely IMO.
