That's a great idea! That I never thought about that...
Sometimes I order people to a place and then follow them. But its much easier to order them to a place and switch to them when they have arrived. This might come in handy on future stages.

I want that DLCs to add all characters from original Hyrule Warriors game and it's DLCs. Because I really want to see in this game from original game: Impa, Ganon, Linkle, King Daphnes and rest of them.

@JustMe and from you I guess YouTube, Twitch and other platforms that allows players to share recorded gameplays doesn't exist. So saying that person can't know whole gameplay of game without owning it in this era is stupid. Sorry to sound mad or rude or stupid to you now, but you really sounded like person from under rock for me now.
Secondly I don't ask make them available at very begging of the game, but only playable as extra characters after game's completion for extra gameplay.
Plus on extra note: feels like you ignoring the part that even if you don't feel more playable characters is needed they still be adding more of playable characters in summer and autumn.
But going along with you then don't add all of them, but then at least add the ones that has totally different gameplay or it's totally different character like the ones I mentioned in my post where this talk originated from.

They're definitely gonna add more characters, and yea, you can know the story of a game without buying it. But having all the other characters in Age of Calamity would strike me as dumb. I mean, I don't really care about the lore reasons or anything; Zelda lore is insane on purpose. But having played both games, Age of Calamity is just so different. It just wouldn't feel right to have Gannondorf running around.

Yeah, having a playable Ganondorf won't make sense canonically. This isn't Hyrule Warriors, this is Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. I don't expect them to add in characters who aren't present in BOTW, or who aren't present in the game itself. I could see them adding characters like Sooga or Astor to the roster, but someone like ganondorf or Linkle would basically never happen.

A different incarnation of Linkle or other such HW original characters would fit perfectly.

Specially if they add extra chapters to give them some development.

This is most definitely not a Hyrule Warriors sequel in any narrative way. The only reference to the original Hyrule Warriors is a bonus cosmetic item.

While the concept of Linkle started as a "Female Link" idea, in Hyrule Warriors, Linkle is her own character, not related to Link. She simply believes herself to be the hero of legend, unaware of the fact that Link and Zelda are doing most of the work.

They can just make a new version of the Linkle concept made to fit in the Age of Calamity universe.

@Eel then what is left then to see Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition get all enchantments from Age of Calamity, because I want play old Hyrule Warriors characters with updated gameplay/mechanics, so.

I don't think that will ever happen, unfortunately. We'll have to enjoy both games separately.

Yeah, this is only connected in terms of gameplay to the original Hyrule Warriors. Other than that, it's not even remotely related. Hyrule Warriors isn't even canon, while Age of Calamity is slightly canon.

That is a more logical option for sure, but I highly doubt they're gonna update the original Hyrule Warriors at this point. I think Age of Calamity did pretty well in terms of sales, so if anything this will be the game they keep adding to while the original becomes an (excellent) legacy game.

@SViper sorry I was asking because some of those characters may or may not already be in the game, and this game is also meant to be canon so like linkle and king daphnes prolly wouldn't work

@FroZtedFlakerZz @VoidofLight Hopefully the character choices for DLC will be engaging and at least surprising. If we just get Purah, Robbie and Sooga as new characters it would waste the potential and opportunity to expand the lore and all.

I wouldn't count Linkle out specifically. She doesn't strike me as a canonical character, and could be a special one, like Terrako or Calamity Ganon.

@TheJGG Yeah, I expect Robbie and Purah fs tho, because of the data miners and the screen of them looking at the shiekah slate in the DLC announcement, along with their characters popping up first, but Linkle could possibly be one of the second batch
