I am still undecided on this. On the One Hand I don't see myself enjoying warriors style gameplay but on the other Hand the artstyle is awesome and the story might be interesting... I think I Will wait for the 26th for some Gameplay and if it has some tweaks to a bit less warriors I Will get it...
@Dezzy I will explain, I have a new phone and I am not English speaker. The algoritm is still trying to catch up and for some reason it puts many of the words in capitals (and in general I am to lazy to just go and change it lol)
I'm hoping either Bolson or Hudson makes it in as a playable character with construction tools as their weapons/moveset.
Though if we're talking side characters, Beedle would definitely be the better choice. He could have some sort of trident weapon but with beetle horns.
@damien33ad i told a lot of people, why dint Nintendo add playable flashback in Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 to tell the Great Calamity istead of using a spin-off for that.
I am wondering if it is open-world like botw. It might sound insane, but then again I believe there is already a openworld Dynasty warriors game, so it isn't impossible.
We have seen screenshots that show the battlefield maps will have defined boundaries.
Let's remember that they specifically decided to sell this under the "Hyrule Warriors" name, not the "Breath of the Wild" or "The Legend of Zelda" names, even though we know it's meant to be canon to BotW. So let's keep our expectations on check, at least when it comes to the major gameplay elements.
Very interested in how this will run. It looks exactly like BOTW, there don't seem to be many concessions made, but it will run properly with dozens and dozens of enemies on screen?
Yeah like Eel says, there are already screenshots that show the level maps. They're similar sizes to the first Hyrule Warriors it seems.
Also, the open world Dynasty Warriors which is DW9, was really badly received, with most people saying the open-world aspect just didn't work for that style of game.
why the file size of this game is so huge?15.3 GB that is almost half of Switch internal memory, is Nintendo going to add full voice acting in cutscene and gameplay?
@Giancarlothomaz that’s hardly huge. It’s slightly bigger than the first Hyrule Warriors and way short of Witcher or NBA which are the largest games on the Switch.
@jump when said huge file size for Hyrule Warriors:Age of Calamity, i was pointing the fact most Nintendo first-party games have small file sizes, with the excepcions of Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild e Super Smash Bros Ultimate, that has to have something to justifie Hyrule Warriors:Age of Calamity file size.
Did Hyrule Warriors' story mode ever use one character for just one or two story missions? I was thinking about Satori Mountain and the idea of the sage being playable in this game. Later on in a separate mission, the Lord of the Mountain would be playable. I'm not sure that they would want to take away from the wonder of the Lord of the Mountain by fleshing out why monsters fear its presence for this game, but I do think it would an interesting roster choice and it is a memorable character within BOTW. Another potentially interesting choice could be one of the dragon spirits as we know already that the calamity targeted Naydra. Maybe play as Naydra in a one off mission around Mount Lanayru.
"The secret to ultimate power lies in the Alimbic Cluster."
Most of the characters become part of the regular cast of playable characters after they're introduced, but there's some separate shorter storylines with characters that are only playable once or twice in the main story levels.
Like the villain characters, Ruto, and Twili Midna, etc. Twili Midna in particular is the only one that appears only once in the story, I think.
