Now the NES Classic has been discontinued and the SNES version is apparently incoming, I wondered if we as Switch owners would rather just have them as Switch collections?
Seems to me this would be far easier for Nintendo and would bring more Switch sales too.
I know I would pay £45 for this (just as I would have paid that for the NES Classic) but am I in the minority?
Switch games list,
Legend of Zelda BotW, Human resource machine, NBA Playgrounds, Street Fighter 2, Super Bomberman R, Snipperclips, Overcooked, World of Goo.
I'd be buying ! I like the convenience of having just 1 icon for all my Nes games, and the idea of a pack makes you discover games you wouldn't have bought individually.
Plus I'm sure Nintendo could hit harder as far as communication goes with a big pack of games than they do with individual releases.
And if they could include achievements à la "retro achiever", challenges à la "Megaman Legacy Collection" / Nes Megamix, and leaderboards for each games, the added value would be infinite !
I feel like the Classics line will become Nintendo's holiday stocking stuffer (blue ocean strategy) pitch from here on out. I could see them doing a line up to the n64 (as current working adults with disposable income...as well as the average age of a new parent demographic are covered by these systems) every year with a limited run just to pad/boost holiday sales. Buy a Switch for yourself/family, get a classic for the non gamer in your life that wants to relive their childhood.
I just want Nintendo to make controllers for classics line so I can hook them up to my Wii/Wiiu (I keep them separate).
