Hey! I was hoping someone could help me out.

I bought my switch two weeks ago. The console works just fine as expected. However, when I dock it and try to play on my Tv. I get no sound. My Tv is a LG 55UH 6030 4k tv.

I tried reconnecting the dock. I’ve changed the HDMI cables. I bought a 4k HDMI cable. I tried all three of the HDMI ports on the TV. Still nothing.

I hooked it up to an older tv. The sound and image are there but it flashes every other second as if it is refreshing.

I tried adjusting the settings on the LG tv. I turned off the CEC. I changed the audio out to PCM.. i have changed everything I could and nothing. All my other devices that are hooked up to the HDMI ports (Dvd player and Ruku) work fine. Both the TV and the console are System updated.

Im a little frustrated. I just dont know what to do next. I think it maybe the dock itself.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

@SithLord Did you try resetting the ac adapter? I'm not sure it will solve it, but it's easy, and worth a shot.

Nintendo support doesn't seem to have any trouble shooting for "no sound when docked". Unless you can find anything else better, sounds like time to call/contact Nintendo.

I highly recommend calling. Their support line is really good.(before the outbreak, it was pretty quick to get someone on the line.) If you call them, have the Nintendo support website up in case they want to point you to directions. It's super handy when they can point you to existing directions for fixing something. Don't be afraid to give them your email when you call. They save the notes from your call in case you call back. It makes it real easy for another rep to see what you've done.

Maybe
Reverse HDMI cable
some are directional

Monoprice
Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Also if you can try a different dock.

Did you try to use the Dock on someone else TV with HDMI connections to verify identify the problem?
