Like 20 minutes ago I was told by my switch that NASCAR rivals was ready to play (I pre-ordered it a week ago). I booted it up and went right into the career mode, made a new character, car, team etc etc and now every time I choose start season option ( you know start racing) I see my car rotate a little then the game crashes and says 'the software was closed because an error occurred' Is anyone else having this issue?
Now I don't want to go on a rant here but, I personally think it is complete BS that these multimillion dollar companies (the most famous for this would be EA, SQUARE, ACTIVISION/BLIZZARD) are able to intentionally release a consumer product in a state that in some cases cannot be played but most vases has some sort of bug or glitch that makes the user the person who paid for the product unable to play parts or the whole game. I mean doesn't it take generally years to make a game from nothing to released product? In all that time they can't ( in my case of NASCAR rivals) enter the career mode and try to start the racing season and see that the game will crash for the user and then find and fix issue? Yeah I know that in a day or two the makers of NASCAR rivals will release a 'day one patch' to make game playable but I as the consumer should not have to wait past the release date of a game to be able to actually play the game I bought on day one.
Honestly if I were a politician in the US Senate or House I would without hesitation push for a bill that would make these game companies definitely be civilly liable if not criminally liable for intentionally and knowingly releasing a defective or damaged product to the consumer market by way of fraud by deception.
I know this is comparing apples to oranges but, if Ford (cars) or HP(computers) or Samsung (phones) were to do what is allowed and frankly expected from the video games industry you know knowingly and intentionally releasing a defective product there would be lawsuits and investigations out the wazoo.
I’m getting the same error screen but mine does it after I finish the last race of the season in career. I’ve finished the race 6 times now and the same thing every time. Deleted the game and downloaded it again but same thing. Haven’t heard squat back from support. Definitely not impressed!
Its made by motorsportgames who are basically thieves and con artists.
This video explains how the game was never designed to work. Its literally a cash grab to help their company squeeze more funds on the way out. Their game ignition is over a year old, hasnt been patched and they have not been sued so I doubt this will get fixed.
I bought an eshop game (momonga) which doesnt work and nintendo refuse to refund or remove it from the eshop.
